Hey. I don't know this to be the case or not, but have you checked to see if you can find any settings that prevent the battery from charging to 100% as some sort of battery saving option? Maybe there is an eco mode that your laptop is set to?

I'm not sure.. but does MSI Center have a battery calibration option or feature

I really hope it isn’t faulty considering I just got it brand new this weekend

try balanced instead of extreme performance or whatever the max mode is

Make sure Windows is up to date

#

Check for updates on MSI Center and the Thin GF63 support page on the MSI website

make sure to look up your laptop model number

i don't know... are there any battery settings in windows settings that you can check?

also since it's a new laptop you can always try official msi support
