#any good msi laptops or desktop within-

Hey, I haven’t looked at pricing but I can tell you immediately that a desktop>laptop with the same parts and will be cheaper.
https://pcpartpicker.com/list/qP9KxH
There is a part list that I quickly put together, but would not recommend at the final parts list for your build. It is only meant to show you that you can put together a system with the RTX 4070ti Super and be under $2k (if only barely). It also does not include extra things like fans or any HUBs you might want to control those fans.
Did you need to have it be a pre-built because you do not want to assemble the PC yourself?
There are options out there that will allow you to get away with a RTX 4070 Super for $2k like this one:
https://www.ibuypower.com/store/rdy-trace-7mp-007
Again, I do not necessarily recommend that specific PC, just showing that the option exists.
Building it yourself will give you way more performance for the $ if you feel comfortable doing that.
I already have a pc part picker list setup if i go that method and i dont really trust iBuyPower from reviews i saw
I know some builders in CA, NY, FL, MA, all throughout the places, with this amount of budget they probably going to put a 3090 and keep it sub-1k
I don’t necessarily trust them either, I really just picked a seller and found a PC that was within budget.
Linus Tech Tips just did a secret shopper with a bunch of these sellers and reviewed the whole buying process, gaming performance, and customer support, so that might be worth a look.
I will say any prebuilt for those specs is going to be very close to $2k with the upcharge they need to put on it.
3090 is obsolete from 4070 s now so no.
3090 is still about 4080 performances sometimes better but yeah my pc builder they like to use them since it is less pricey and better performance
Ya ik
Also i didnt know the fact linus did a newer secret shopper i might check out
Depends on what state, but in popular ones you can get it from builders
I think i saw that one before it isnt as good as this one on most aspects im looking for

Also theres this 4080 priced at that https://www.newegg.com/core-black-msi-gp-series-vector-gp68-12vh-006-gaming/p/N82E16834156475
Give it a week and RTX 4080 Supers will be available at a lower MSRP compared to the non-supers. We will see if they actually sell at a lower price.
I'm pretty happy with my cyborg 12vf for what its worth, but external monitor is basically required
Im going definitely get external monitor bc of fact the laptop i want get is uh.. 1080p..
Thats one downside for this one
yeah, if it ships with a 500~gb ssd, upgrade that as well
I aint going get 4080 s if i get a desktop its going to be a 7900 xtx if im going that high end
Specifically
17.3" 1920 x 1080 Thin Bezel FHD
“Or 4080 I'm willing in increase 4080 one to 2.3k or around that but no 4080 laptops pls”
That is what your post said, so I suggested it.
I think im get this one then save for monitor after the laptop
Decided to go the laptop route over a desktop?
Ya.. bc im getting very impatient at this point and this is cheapest 4070 laptop
I am sure you know but just to point it out, since it is a mobile 4070 it will perform closer to a 4060 or maybe lower and not a desktop 4070. Also it only has 8GB of VRAM so it MIGHT have issues keeping up with newer games.
I should be able get it on 5th of spooky month or later if I get money for my birthday again
This display sucks. 144 HZ more like 60, input response is like a 60 HZ
Colors aren't vibrant too
I am also using a Costco MSI laptop with an MSI 4K monitor and it feels like I am using a normal PC again
Wait what then why it show this
That GP is a good buy but definitely get a monitor
Does msi sell any good 1440p displays
Also yes ik that vector laptop sucks in display i thought about it before then i saw reviews
Monitor
generally they're pretty good with desktop monitors
no matter the resolution
but I recommend one with 120+ HZ
my 4K MSI monitor is only 60
Yep, see how the 4070 mobile is 34 FPS away from the 4070 desktop but only 5 FPS from the RTX 4060?
Do they have any with 300$ mark and can u link it
Oh
Sh!t
Sure
Cool, just as long as you are informed. Didn’t want there to be any surprises.
Does this mean you are not buying a system for 10 months?
9 months
https://www.newegg.com/p/N82E16824475174?Item=N82E16824475174
4K g-sync a bit pricey
Thats like 100 above my budget 😭
Cool, then I actually wouldn’t waste your time talking about specific laptops or desktop parts.
New parts, availability, and pricing swings are going to shift so much in this amount of time that it is nearly impossible to budget now.
Checked the 1440p one?
Yes
Isnt like only the super series releasing this year tho
The only one that I have paid attention to sure, but that isn’t the only part you need to consider. There was a $50 MB price swing a month after I bought my system, and if you are looking at specific laptops then they might not even be available in that same skew next week, let alone 9 months.
For one
I doubt asus and prem brands will release something within that laptop price
Lenovo might but idk
What you may need to consider is non super skews getting a price cut with the supers getting released and in 9 months they might be seriously discounted trying to eliminate old stock of non super stuff since the non supers are not even going to be produced anymore, from what I saw.
These are laptops do u expect super laptops to come out i doubt it
Asus showed some of there 2024 laps and non were super
NVIDIA has embargoes on product review releases for the day of release for reviewers, so I wouldn’t expect to see any real life working supers until they get released to the public.
I might be wrong, but it actually doesn’t matter because because this decision in 9 months away and there will be sales, price drops and increases on every component for a PC will see at least some change in that time.
Might even be something small like a $10 decrease in a 14700k CPU, but I would be surprised if any specific laptop you see today will be the same price in 9 months.
There is an extension you can get for Google Chrome called Honey that will let you see the pricing history of a product on Amazon and I don’t think I have ever seen a single product of anything stay the same price for 30 days.
Uh what is the 3050 compared to
Something powerful enough to turn on and power the display but not something that would “game” on.
What about ti verison

You can judge for yourself if you think that is enough performance. It gives performance on the left and the settings they used in the top right.
Hmm.
Hey which one u think would be better the kartana one or one above this message
I know you were saying you were going to get an external monitor, but that OLED screen would look fantastic, it just isn't going to be a high refresh rate. Watching videos would be excellent on the OLED screen, just not high FPS gaming.
Isn't there gonna be a massive price drop in OLED soon, on a side note? thought cannon was coming out with a new version of oled that doesnt rely on rare earth metals from china
Issue with oled is burn in
Not really a huge concern with the latest versions of it. Just don't have max level brightness 100% of the time on a static image 24 hours a day.
I mean yes but thats how i accientally got my s22 ultra to have burn in it so thats why im scared of oled now
Fair enough. I don't think I am going to go back to LED after having this OLED monitor I am using now.
I found the monitor i wanted
https://www.newegg.com/p/N82E16824012076
Also if a refund goes correctly (i hope does) i should be able get the laptop before my birthday
Being i should be able get it on September 5th
I found a better one
That's a really great deal but make sure you research temps on that laptop
I hear temps are bad on tuf laptops
