#BIOS Update question

I want to update because mine is old and maybe something may work better.
Looks like a few security patches and other things that improved compatibility with RAM.
I also saw some notes like things that turned on secure boot in bios by default, but no comments that said to install one previous version first before installing the next.
What CPU you have now?
AMD R5 3600
If my memories are clear
But bios update doesn't require installed cpu
As I saw, some people do...
Okay, then I don’t see any issues with the latest bios clearing that CPU from the compatibility list.
If the CPU was really old, then there can be instances where the MB loses support for a CPU on the latest BIOS because that new bios had to make room on the bios chip for new CPU compatibility and they remove older CPUs to do it.
Interesting.

Well anyway should I update or vetter keep it factory
I'm a little confused
I don't see any reason why you shouldn't update the BIOS, especially because there are security updates that were made. Just make sure that you read the comments of all updates because if you update to the latest one, then all the changes inbetween will be made.
If you see any issues after the update, then you will know where to start looking.
Just be careful when doing a BIOS update, because if it stops part way through for whatever reason, then it can brick your MB and won't turn on anymore.
that's the thing I'm afraid of, bricking my MB, I already had bricked RGB controller, had to mess to unbrick it, with physical touches || used open rgb ||
also I'm using linux, thinking how I can make things less risky and do it through OS without restarting PC.
I am unfamiliar with Linux, but I wish you all the luck. My best advice would be to keep it simple. The more complex the fix you are trying to find, the more opportunities there is for a failure.
yeah I get it
