hi guys i have a very big problem i changed my cpu i went from a ryzen 5 1600 to a ryzen 5 5600x and since my motherboard doesn't recognize my gpu anymore i've tried every driver, disassemble reassemble clean, bios driver, clear cmos, I've even tried another much smaller graphics card, a 1050ti, which doesn't make any difference, but nothing changes. I've got an rtx 2060 strix triple fan, so if you can help me, that would be really cool, because I'm really fed up with it: / (PS sorry for my english i'm french)

Check your motherboard's support page.

# rain bramble unfortunately it didn't work, is there anything else we can do?

Can you put the old CPU in to see what BIOS is currently on the system? It is possible that the update was unsuccessful and still on the older bios. Once the old CPU is installed you will also be able to update the BIOS while being able to see what is on the screen.

WARNING: Updating the BIOS to a newer version might make it so the old CPU will no longer work in that system because there is only so much space available on those BIOS chips and they make room for new CPUs by removing compatibility for the older CPUs.

That's great news! Let us know the current BIOS version.

Look at how to update BIOS on page 42-43 of your manual.
Updating BIOS with M-FLASH is the preferred method. Be sure to format USB stick (less 32GB) to FAT32.

If you could take a picture of the bios screen, we can all take a look.

That is the bios that appeared on your screen in the bios? Not just the version of the bios that you downloaded. We need to make sure that the update was successfully installed.

I would reinstall the R5 1600. Install MSI Center (https://us.msi.com/Motherboard/B450-TOMAHAWK-MAX-II/support#utility)
and let MSI Center check your hardware and suggest which BIOS version to update.
