CRAP
I would personally get the RTX 3060 Ti but it's really not that big a deal, it's only about a 1.6% difference with little to no price difference
idk much about Radeon products so idk why they would recommend you swap it
I wouldnt have even thought to swap it since there's no bottlenecking
you also have relatively low speed RAM added
These would do you well and you can buy 4 of the sticks to make 32GB
although if you wanna be cheaper you can just go with 16GB
only difference is you would have to not be a maniac and leave 200 tabs open
although I would always have more RAM anyways
but I'm not going to pretend like you have Jeff Bezos' Credit Card
otherwise nothing else is slapping me in the face, decent build
except for the SSD, it seems to be a cheapy brand that I wouldn't trust on my PC
I'd grab a Samsung, Sabrent or Kingston SSD
$10 more but trust worthy
same speed and size too
Part List - AMD Ryzen 5 5600, GeForce RTX 3060 Ti, Montech AIR 903 MAX ATX Mid Tower
This would be my preferred modification but that's if I had a few more bucks to spare
3060 ti is upgrade
ram to 32gb
i used both, i own a 3060 ti
the benchmarks disagree
its really not
I really like your build
roughly $800 for a build with good speced parts
and also the upgrade to the x3d is hardly worth the $200 difference
Yeah 2x16GB so if you want to add more RAM you can just fill the other DIMM slots
A well-balanced build. Good luck on the build @wicked herald
YEEEE
excellently balanced
like my recommendation of the 3060Ti is the biggest of nitpickings
its 199 at microcenter
For OS (windows 11 pro or linux) you can check out tech websites and tech youtubers for discount codes for windows keys.
also the 3060 ti is only 8gb of vram
I would go with Win11 pro
6700xt has more room for future titles
I never looked into it but why pro over home?
My personal preference. I like some of the additional security features in Pro
mmm interesting, what features?
Definitely get Win11 since microsoft will end support for win10 in 2025
bitlocker device encryption, VM sandboxing to test websites, programs, scripts.
since pro is geared towards business users, some updates for businesses
Home is fine for most users but I prefer pro for additional functionality
ah, I wonder why some of those security features arent just standard and just have the one version
that's quite the cost reduction, neato
yeah i wonder that too. guess different versions to help charge more or less depending on what you get. And also some of the features in pro aren't needed by average users.
I mean, alot of things go unused by the average joe anyways, and consolidating it would drive down the price since it simplifies developement
makes sense I'm guessing some updates for pro and enterprise versions need to be more thoroughly tested
maybe it's about creating dilemas and not problems
or update cycle needs to happen more often
Rumored that Windows 12 might have a "lite version"
just a rumor. to really streamline the bloat
i like that idea
because in terms of security if you create a dilema you create seperate avenues of approach, so like if you are a bad actor you'll have to choose a target now instead of being able to target just anyone, so now the time it takes you to find work arounds in let's say Home means less time you have to find work arounds for Pro
and having that split between households and buisnesses(typically) means that you can spend time customizing the security to protect specific assets better since that's the information that is more likely to be target at say a household or buisness
I like thinking about these things
sorry, way off topic
It makes sense.
