#issues after upgrading to MSI center

around a month ago, I decided to make the move to MSI Center, as I couldn't change my fan curves in Dragon Center; they'd just stay at default no matter what. when I upgraded to MSI Center, the fan settings worked (great!) but after a week or so I started to notice an odd issue. with no rhyme or reason, my mouse (USB dongle) and speaker (bluetooth thru separate USB dongle) both stop working at once, the mouse mouse freezes wherever it is.
shortly after, one/multiple cmd prompt windows flash, Windows "device connect" sound plays, and then my mouse and speaker reconnect & work again.

motherboard: MSI MPG B550 Gaming Plus

When you upgraded to MSI center from dragon center did you uninstall dragon center

#

There might be some conflict there so make sure you uninstalled dragon center

#

I would try reinstalling MSI center and using clean master

#

It's on this page

#

And also make sure you are up to date on BIOS version

thank you @fallen laurel, I'll try this, I don't recall uninstalling Dragon Center when upgrading, I just remember downloading the installer and it doing its thing so I'll definitely use Clean Master. I updated my bios last week so I should be good on that end.

update: upon doing these things it seems like it’s still happening for some odd reason, except this time I was able to catch a message and discord after everything reconnected - discord asking if I wanted to switch to my webcam’s mic. I believe my webcam is the cause of this issue, which I don’t doubt as it is a very very cheap webcam.

update 2: it's still happening - not sure why that is, I've used Clean Master, and reinstalled (to the newest version) MSI Center, but still experiencing the same issue.

Have you checked for latest updates on MSI Center?

#

Have you done a Windows reset before?
