i restarted my laptop and it has high temps even though nothing is going on
still high temps
What laptop u have which cpu?
msi gp 66
I think u should consider to repaste it.
@dusty trench speccy is awfully unreliable so I’d use something such as hwinfo64 instead
and 92c is indeed normal
wont it damage my cpu
i noticed some stuttering for like 1 second
no, laptop CPUs are designed to handle 95c
@lucid joltwho says speccy is bad
me and everyone that knows about monitoring softwares
it still says every GPU with 4gb of vram or more has only 4gb of vram
it hasn’t been updated in god knows how long
the version im using is out of date
Speccy is out of date
but idk why my temps are so high now
i have another question is it ok to restart or turn off the laptop while the fans are on
or should i wait for them to turn off
Yes
max mine reach is 86 and with max fans it comes down to 78-79 btw i'm also using msi vector gp66
i'm using a basic cooling pad
IM having the same temperatures as before
and im noticing fps drops
i cleaned the back of my laptop too and it was dusty
i guess ill have to unscrew it and clean the vents
i have the lepord 66
and it was the same for me but then i took it with me on vacation and it started to act like this
it might be just because of temp difference between places
what fan speed do u guys recommmend
my room temperature is fine and ive used this laptop in cold rooms too
I use mine on default
When you change it to cooler boost it will automatically max it so there's nothing to change there
I have the same issue with my laptop, it's not uncommon either, I found a thread on LTT'S website that says he reapplied thermal paste, and it helped significantly
