I believe that your settings/ save files became corrupt after switching off the PC without shutting down the game.
I'm not aware of any way to fix your save, but to get the game working again;
In Steam, disable Steam Cloud for this game. (you will lose progress)
• Right click on the game in steam, go to properties then general - disable steam cloud.
Then navigate to your C:\Users\YOURUSERNAME\AppData\LocalLow\Double Dagger Studio\Little Kitty, Big City
• Delete the entire contents of that folder
This will delete your save / settings that have somehow become corrupted. The game should then function if you launch it again.
After playing you should be good to re-enable SteamCloud
Well that is hilarious isn't it... I don't think I even want to continue playing ot after just waisting 4 hours of my life on that game that I just bought then for it to just get curropted. Btw when I create a new save file/new game the progress and such doesn't show. But idk if I can even be bothered to re play the game or not 😭
Just feeling 0 motivation since I just wanted to play this game while I was feeling down
Plus when I did make a new one i got stuck on a box when I jumped and then when I load back in it resets my progress back to the orange cat
near a car i managed to jump into a box instead of onto it stopping mid air jump animation (long body, streched legs) - in this position i could rotate my kitty, saving and loading got me in front of the box in the usual sleeping position... So a "Got Stuck" option would be fine to get reset to the startpoint. unforunate the first problem with the corrupted savegame may happen if a computer has a power outage while accessing the drive. Developers may consider writing the savegame to a new file and rename files as this may greatly reduce the risk of an interuption while overwriting the only file. (in this case the new writen file may be damaged and ignored as it was not moved over the other, but a player wont lose the whole progress)
ok so i went and delte all but still same thign happening idk if i have soemthing left but when i save where the crow is and i reload that save crow is just gone
feels liek the whole game has gon curropt lol
I deleted all files them uninstalled and game still doesn't work
This is just not fun what so ever
So I just do not know what to do at this point....
Sorry to hear that you are still having issues.
Can you confirm that you disabled Steam Cloud?
Also that you game is not open whilst you are doing any of these steps, please close the game first.
I did do that but didn't help
@fair bane so i have like uninstalle it and removed everything right? but same thing keeps happening and even when i log into my lap top to try to play it and have it on there same issue there too
If its happening on multiple machines, it would suggest that Steam Cloud is still enabled, and syncing your settings between devices.
All I can suggest at this moment, is double checking that Steam cloud is actually disabled for Little Kitty Big City on whichever machine you want to play the game on.
Then before launching the game, go to your C:\Users\YOURUSERNAME\AppData\LocalLow\Double Dagger Studio\Little Kitty, Big City folder (replace YOURUSERNAME with your windows username)
Delete the entire contents of that folder.
Then launch the game from Steam.
Pictures of my Steam Cloud settings, and Settings folder for reference
idk whats is with my pc
ok
so i found it
This folder is not your setting folder
Yep! that looks like it
so do i just delte everything in it now or?
like do i rename the player one to my username or? @fair bane
Delete the contents of that folder, make sure Steam Cloud is disabled first though
Everything I am guessing right?
yes
It worked
