Hello, I'm trying to understand if I'm having some of the more common Tanuki related bugs that appeared (i saw plenty online) or some kind of special one.
So far the game didn't have any problems, i explored and did most of the achievements and quests, twoards the end i noticed that i don't have 2 portals in the starting area open, one is not even on the map and the other is there but when i approach it nothing happens. I remind you, i had no trouble with Tanuki or anything and I got out of the construction site just fine and all my other portals work just fine. Because of that, the gate to the Shiba dog garden is closed for me and im unable to go there, i have found Tanuki and she is just chillin on some pipe and talking to her doesn't do much. I want to 100% the game and this problem prevents me from getting at least 5+ achievements. My question is, did I waste all the hours i put in now or did i miss something or is it fixable somehow?

There are two solutions that I've found.

Easy: Go to the wall outside Big Potato's yard and jump up on the hedge. (See picture below) Jump inside the gate.
Collect all the tennis balls in the pit. Save/reload and Big Potato should start the dialog. Go all the way through the dialog. Then talk to Big Potato one more time. This should complete the quest and you'll receive the Shiba hat.
To get out of the closed gate, jump up on the dog house, then up onto the hedge. Walk back toward the gate and jump out. Or, climb up to Big Potato's balcony and jump out. -
