#Locked out of the construction site

I’m at the part in the game where the kitty meets Tanuki. I gave her feathers and got access to the construction site. After exploring there a bit, I found a way to exit the construction site by climbing the fence.

I’ve tried to get back into the construction site, however the only place I can do so is through a crawl space. This crawl space is blocked. I heard that when you enter the construction site, it is supposed to be automatically unblocked.

I am on PC and I am using a Nintendo pro controller to play.

I did the same thing: After getting in to the construction site, I got out by getting on top of the fence that surrounds it then jumping down, not knowing that was an unintentional way to get out. So there's still the object in the way of crawling back in since I never moved it out of the way to leave the normal way.

I honestly thought you weren't supposed to leave the construction site until Tanuki did her thing, so I started to look for ways to get out and found one - but I ended up getting locked out 🥲

So i found out how to get in because i was dealing with the tanuki missing bug. (Which i found a fix for later)
If you go to the crawl point and turn around there is a building with vines (if you can't climb the vines you can climb from the fruit shop's back room) it is a 4 fish climb if you use the early rest point. You can jump off the railing to clear the fence.
I actually got a wall grab climbing the outside of the railing (fell off railing) and jumped off and landed halfway across the site.

I've found an alternate 2-fish route....

Start by climbing to the top of the building where you first meet Chameleon. After crossing over to the balcony with the hat capsule, hop on the railing (the AC helps), then the vent, and finally, the roof of the stairwell.

This is where it gets finicky. You can't jump down, you have to walk off, but aim for the wall/hedge combo between the lots. Follow that all the way around until you get to the tree. The tree jumps take practice and finesse, but if you do it right, you can claw the wall of the building and slide back down onto the pipe over the wall. Walk this the rest of the way, and it puts you right behind the dog, with enough safe area to get onto the van and access the rest of the area.
