What is the possibility of allowing a hitscan weapon for heavy such as nova colt with damage such as 35. However reload per clip would be 3-5 seconds.

If you make autos have low DPS then it just turns into a regen pinger weapon which is really annoying to play against (this is part of why we banned flak). Figiting will become really annoying since it will be a lot easier to regen ping.

There is a theme in mixers, which is explosive weapons + shocklance. People play mixers for this theme and for the type of gameplay this theme promotes. There isn’t a great way to add autos without wildly changing gameplay with a lot of downsides.

Even with repair gun regen pinger would still 'mostly affect' offense roles who don't have friendlies around by default and can't just respawn locally in 5 seconds.

But meanwhile, nobody's contributing novel gameplay ideas to my thread trying to come up with high ping roles that don't break mixer flavor :(

I feel like this is introducing an invasive species to take care of a pest but then you have to bring in another invasive species to deal with your first one

i think the biggest problem is that this game is balanced really shit without at least one chain gun even if it's a normalized single weapon across the board

even old tribes games had them for a reason

the "balance" of mixers is just no chain gun or anything old heads in 2012 could get killed by without first shitting every grenade they're holding ala zeke

and they're pretty much all x1/chain gun style guns with bottomless clips and a windup time
