Why is the penetration chance red on ricochet angles?

if i recall correctly the reticle color only takes the thickness into account

you have enough pen to go through the plate just not at that angle

Then why don't it says yellow on that 70* angle why don't the commander says "Ricochet!" if you shot it on that angle its kinda confusing

MT-25 has 40mm of armor on that spot—which you can pen—hence the reticle showing red, but the reticle does not take angle into consideration. At the angle you're hitting, you are beyond 70°, which would mean your only chance at actually penning is through the overmatch mechanic; since your gun caliber is below 121mm in size, you failed to overmatch and thus bounced off.

Before version 6.0, the game indicates a yellow spot if you aim at the Strv 103’s upper plate angled at 70° with a high pen 105mm APCR gun.

Regardless, it would still say ricochet even with a commander.
