small maps would be fine in tier 10 if there wasn’t lower tiers, they usually suffer in close combat.

Tier 8s in a Tier 10 match on Tundra have it worse than normal. That's the same on all maps smaller than 1000x1000.
The smaller the map the worse it is for tanks 2 tiers down. They can't hardly play a support role. The engagements are so close.
Every time smaller map comes back I am optimistic for it in higher tiers. However, none have really worked out. The meta has changed since maps like Tundra, Wide Park etc. have been in the game years ago.
