So it would lose the apcr round, gain some better HEAT, go up to 2864 main gun dpm and gain a 3173 dpm mws autocannon (assuming reload/intra are the same).

I love the idea of activating some autocannons on WW2 tanks but even at low pen I really dont think a potential dpm that high should be achievable in the mode. Sure it wont come into play against most targets even from the side but for thin armor it still runs the risk of being problematic.

The only way I see high fire rate autocannons working out is to keep them at a very low damage (like 5-8) where they require a majority of the clip to keep a target tracked, wont massively hike up the dpm, and can keep some more pen to be usable against a wider range of side armor/weakspots.

I got a lot of pens in the stb-1 using heat the only people who says tanks with only heat is bad idea is players who snapshot and never aim

Yes HEAT can work, but taking away the APCR is just not what the AMX needs. APCR tends to work alot better all round and in the game where shots may be slim, id rather have shell velocity over the HEAT in the vast majority of situations and putting it as just HEAT and HE would lead to a overal more horrendous usability of the tank as a whole.

plus most tanks are not the e100 even tho you can pen the turret easily and the upper flat side armor at flat angle

I have had some thoughts lately about making the AMX-30B HEAT only, but I wouldn't go about it like this.

WG also will not add a secondary Autocannon to WWII

Enemy tank, front drive wheel, track immobilisation and damage immediately goes out the window using HEAT against most vechiles.

If i need to imobilise and do damage in a situation where I may need to keep a TD or heavy pinned, HEAT wont do the job reliably. I would stick.to having the APCR/HEAT/HE load out.

Not all drive wheels immune to heat i got 7k damage with the taran using heat tracking tanks

Depending on the angle and if you hit the sprocket, HEAT is stopping on most and not reaching the hull armour.

Im.not gonna risk taking that chance with HEAT shells. APCR is going to vastly more reliable and flexible in most game scenario's

I'm less concerned by the main gun and more by the autocannon personally. Having the autocannon active at all is sufficiently unique

even after you have adjusted the stats you now have a 560 damage burst that takes 2.16s and has a 20s total reload yielding 1516 additional dpm that only is effective on the lightest armored vehicles in mm.

I dont think it would be "OP" (since 50 pen is worthless in most situations) but it would still be quite toxic for anything light enough to have to put up with it

the gun handling would be 2x worse than bmp-2 it would be useable it would stop people from camping with it

395mm HEAT pen can overcome the gaps between the space armour, tracks, drive wheel etc diue to how the drop of of the HEAT jet works in this game. 320mm HEAT unless the space between tracks, drive wheel spaced armour plate and the armour behind all of that is fairly thin, even a tank at 40° the track and drive wheel is chewing up the round.

again all you are doing here is just lowering the skill ceiling on it as it becomes waaaaay too matchup dependent. You end up with a main gun that will struggle with spaced armor and an autocannon that is only consistent against paper tanks up in mid-close range. It needs to be useful and consistent hence the prior suggestion of severely axing the alpha damage in favor of restoring pen

i understand but Dude the auto cannon is not supposed to be like the gau8 where it's take out most heavy tanks it's should be used against the fv4005 charging at you its anti infantry weapon not anti tank

you can pen some heavy mediums tanks side-rear armor with 50mm if you aim
