Permanent Ranked Battles – Proposal for WoT Console

The current 7v7 Ranked Battles once again prove how strong the smaller format is. It’s more tactical, less chaotic, and each player has significantly more impact on the result. That’s what makes Ranked feel truly competitive.

I’d love to see Ranked become a permanent mode, available in both WW2 and Cold War.

Rotation idea:
• 4 weeks: Tier VIII + Era 1
• 4 weeks: Tier IX + Era 2
• 4 weeks: Tier X + Era 3
• Then repeat the cycle

This would ensure:
• Constant access to 7v7 battles
• Equal representation for both modes
• Healthy meta shifts through rotation
• Long-term motivation to build multiple vehicles

Additional idea: Ranked Marks of Excellence

It could be interesting to introduce a separate set of Marks of Excellence specifically for Ranked Battles.

Since 7v7 has no bots and plays in a more competitive environment, these marks would represent performance against real players only. They could function as a second set of marks — visually distinct — earned exclusively through Ranked mode.

This would:
• Reward high-level competitive performance
• Encourage long-term engagement
• Create a clear distinction between standard and competitive achievements
• Add prestige without affecting regular MoE balance

Ranked feels more structured and competitive than standard 15v15. A permanent rotating system — combined with exclusive Ranked marks — could significantly strengthen the competitive side of WoT Console.

The playerbase is already split into 4 different matchmaking queues (8 if you count co-op) and you want to add 2 more queues. We just don't have the players necessary for something like this. Maybe, just maybe, it'd work exclusively during prime hours but idk. Also, CW has proven awful for ranked and tier 8 is pretty toxic too. Maybe if lights get banned, maybe TDs too, but generally it's not a fun mode. Instead of putting effort into ranked, WG should put effort into organized competitive play

The CW Event mode is just a mirror of regular Era 2 PVP. Perhaps the 'problems' are more concentrated and apparent.

But either way, you are right about the CW Event Mode. I didn't like it either.

There would need to be a primetime like PC has. Maybe around 5pm to midnight each day. That obviously varies depending on server.

Hard no to ranked MoEs. There is no point. The rank is the flex itself. No reason to incentivize selfish gameplay.

As far as rotations, I would prefer just to have tier 10 only. Tier 8 and 9 are pretty boring and dominated by unbalanced tanks. Tier 10 seems to be in a pretty solid state nowadays in terms of balance.
