So, I had a few rounds on this map and I must say that I don't like this map... It's a fun map for lights and mediums with good gun depression but for a heavy or a td this map kind of sucks.

A sacrifice to the H O L E is needed for a good match

Idk I enjoy it both cw and ww2 definitely balanced.

I watched a e 100 spend 5+ minutes driving along the edge of the map 😭

Map is way to big for WW2.

I think it's fine sightlines everywhere and you have to think where you go.

I like the map and have actually played it in nothing but heavies and td’s. For heavies I did not think there was too much to drive for good places and I had plenty of cover as well. Tds have plenty of ambush points and long line of sights. There are so many opportunities to flank people that you need to watch your six or spread out bit more then have the while group in the same alley.

I like the map, but l dont need it in every second game as yesterday.

Crap map for WW2.

Both were really favorites of mine in WWII anyhow. But Death valley is just horrid

Considering I've just had a game where both teams all basically went to to the North West corner of the map which is a heavy trend from what I can see, then basically half the map plus that isnt getting used

#

For WWII anyway, a 1400x1400 map, just makes little to no sense. Not on a 15vs15 layout. Halfaya pass isnt great and neither was Skorpian pass in there own regards, but to a degree, you could actually still get around. I would not want to be on that map in any super heavy. Arty is a mixed bag as since half the map gets left wide open, stealth TD's and scouts just get a free run down the middle of the map too you

Idk I have fun that's all I care about love getting that map.

It's an overall good map for cold war, just makes it bad because they buff the terrain resistance for some dumb reason.
Without the terrain, the map would be great for sniping and heavy brawling that corner.
Overall nice map

Love the map!

[Also guys... Listen to the hole & throw in a sacrifice!]

Remove the map from ww2 rotation

#

Fixed

#

And NO downsizing the map WON'T FIX IT

#

Short term solutions create long term problems

#

If downsized it will still be a bad map just smaller. The map is generally just a driving simulator with no cover to support close range fights

Love how the people that complain the game is “too fast” and not strategic keep asking for tiny maps that force immediate confrontation and no flexibility of play.

Most of the time the people with issues want bigger maps or slower speed.

#

I believe your just making stuff up because you disagree with speed nerfs.

I love the map because all tanks seem to do fine in it for me.

Love playing this in my Wiesel and heavies in ww2

One of my favorite maps. Play only WWII and have had couple of matches with a type 4 heavy as well. In my mind there are two general areas where most people head but there are many avenues for flanking moves also that you never know when few reds will pop up next to you from the side.

It is refreshing having a map that has more to offer than left, middle, and right. I would enjoy more large maps like this in the future.

The Northwest area seems to be the main place for encountering enemy, with the area by the crater and homes a close 2nd. With that said, I've been all over the map and always find places to engage. Valleys, rises, hills, plateaus, rocky spires - plenty of places to set up, and plenty of places to be surprised attacked.

This is definitely a map for awareness and not a mindless drive, stop, aim, shoot. It makes you think and strategize, and this is a welcomed addition in my book.

Good job WG.

Now fix the 🤬 rubberbanding lag. Whoops, my bad.

I have really enjoyed playing mediums on this map. There is plenty of room and obstacles for flanking around enemies allowing mediums to play into their strengths.

You guys have to be trolling honestly

#

You should try to play German heavies in it and then see how "great" the map is

(For ww2 mode)

Not a fan myself, the map is too large for ww2. Playing slow tanks, is unbearable. It reminds me of when we had the coldwar maps in ww2 . But thankfully they got removed, from ww2.

Just shrink it to a 1200×1200 for WW2 or something

earnest hollow
#

Played it in slow tds and super heavies. Overall one of the best maps in ww2. More space and more areas where battle can take place instead of the limitd choice most maps offer.

"One of the best maps"

I hope WG releases a 1400 x 800 map just so the heads explode of people who sniff their own farts in here and want to play Battlezone.

Map was designed with WW2 in mind. Plenty of undulations for cover. Less time to get to the fighting areas than driving uphill on Westfield. Harder to shoot people leaving spawn. Easier to reset the caps and harder for quick cap.

Its a bad map, definitely not designed for ww2 in mind. It's not like we had a test on this map specifically in cold war. Anyone trying to say this map is good or was tested for ww2 is delusional.

Well I happen to enjoy it.

I also have a feeling that I know that map the first time I played it and after a bit of digging I knew why this map was so familiar. It was an event map for the tanks like roswell and rover. It just got a bit tweaking and now we have a "new" old map

earnest hollow
# opaque magnet 🤣🤣🤣🤣

Yes in my view as instead of fighting on one set place there are larger areas where fighting occurs. Also there are many avenues of attack and when tanks start brawling there is often options on flanking them. I feel Death valley has more dimension rather then some many other maps where the regular fighting spots cover just few squares.
