Intermittent sound

Since the update I have been getting an intermittent sound cut every few seconds which lasts for approximately 0.5 seconds.

I have restarted my console, checked my headphones and it is still persisting.

Any advice. I don’t think recording the gameplay would help.

This would be something related to your set up most likely. An easy test would be to use your TV speakers for audio instead of a headset.

If it doesn't happen anymore, its your headset.

I’d reset my headset dongle. Most have a small hole on the side you’ll need a pin 🧷

I use a monitor and all my sound comes through the headset as it has no speakers.
I will try to reset it and update.

I used the Xbox headset (wireless).

Literally doesn’t do it any other game.

Audio is all handled by your set up so there is something that is causing it. If its game specific, your game install is likely fragmented on your console. Doing a fresh game install would clear that up.

@empty dew this happens to me regularly on Xbox. I think it is an Xbox audio bug. It's as you describe and sounds choppy.

It happens to me on other games and is most noticeable in a party or when playing tanks. The tanks background music just happens to really sound different because of it so I quickly notice.

I do a console restart (not the quick one) and it fixes it. Sometimes it just goes away on its own.

I simple did an update to the device (none found) so I’ll assume it just overridden its firmware and boom here I am intermittent sounding free.

Never had it before.

I am just now getting it and it just started today and it's not my headset because this is the only game that does it @modest thorn
