As it currently stands, the Era 1 premium tank options are somewhat barren. It's a shame too, as it wouldn't be the most outlandish idea to bring over a few tier VIII-X tanks as premiums, seeing how the majority date to the Cold War.
However, I understand that these vehicles will not sell well. Exactly the same rationale as to why there are so few new tier VII and lower premiums.
A solution to that would be to release these potentially underperforming (in sales) premiums through alternative methods. Contracts and the season pass.
Now, having premiums in the season pass has been a norm for a while. CW premiums in a contract have also recently started becoming a thing, with the VT-2 being available as of writing. Premiums released for the first time not through the store have also been done, with the ELC EVEN SS.12, Object 283, T-54D and KPz 07 P all not being available through conventional means. The fact that the 07 was only through WarChests is not something I personally would like to see again, but the Winter Store was a brilliant idea otherwise.
Back to this suggestion. I propose that contracts, the free LV 100 season pass reward or the LV 75 paid season pass reward could be fantastic avenues to release premiums that may otherwise not be desirable. For example, a copy of the Tier X FV4202 wouldn't be the greatest seller, but would be popular enough as a contract tank. Likewise, this could also work for lower tier WWII premiums, but this suggestion isn't about them specifically.
