Yes its been around a long time as have most of the tanks. Perhaps it's the change in the player base and approach to this mode. It just seems /seemed Mario Kartish, it's not easy to describe exactly hence my choice and changes to my words. And I also mean no disrespect to the OP. I agree the "blackout" was not good. To expand my train of thought I felt the same about the Mars OP. It wasn't as much fun this year.

Not going to lie. I have to agree. With @ionic perch the mode isn’t really fun anymore (FOR ME). I haven’t played the mode in years and don’t intend to.
The game was fun back when it first came out and there were only 4 tanks in the mode. A couple years go by and it’s now 7-8? Okay no big deal still none of the gimmicks were super wacky.
2023-24 rolls around and now I have no interest in playing the mode. Sure if you have zero care in the world and just pick your favorite tanks with favorite gimmicks and play then go have fun! 😁
But if you are actually trying to do super well in the mode and maximize your crew training it’s like having to try hard to learn a whole other tank game. What tanks have what power, what are their weaknesses, are any tanks a serious threat to your tank you have to watch out for, etc. and now this year they add one with 3 different ammo types each specifically made for a type of monster?? So now you have to learn that too on both sides of that tank. Like why bother.
Like the mode was fun for me when basically every tank was stuck on the ground. And the only ones you kinda had to worry about was the one that could teleport, and the revenant that could hide amongst the other tank props. Nothing jumped in the air, launched vines or whatnot at you to keep you in place, and none of this keep track of what ammo does what to X monster stuff.
But to each their own. If people
Like the mode then the objective of said mode is achieved 🙂

yeah it’s not that hard after 45 mins of actually having to read what each tank does and observe, physically, their powers. But fun modes shouldn’t have to make you “use your brain”
The other two most popular modes certainly don’t.
Lunar/mars mode: literally just shooting tanks and making crazy jumps in fast tanks in a low gravity environment.
Toy tank mode. Again just driving around in two different fast-ish toy tanks shooting at everyone. Everyone can jump in the air and there are some random power ups you can pick up. Not

That is my point and view on the matter I love those modes because I can actually try hard in pubs, but if I have a string of bad CC/CA RNG (
) I can just “switch my brain off” and go have some good ‘ol fashioned tom foolery.
Now back on topic. I certainly am of the opinion that this event should be extended to make up for the numerous issues that plagued the release of the mode.
