Seems about correct
Can you elaborate please
If max view range is 445, mine is 512, this means his camo would be reduced by 15%
Is my math wrong?
This is not how it works. The camo in meter mentioned in the garage is some base value and only correct when the enemy has 445m viewrange (not quite sure but something like that)
Internally camo is done in fractions of 1. Like 0.37. That's what your 512m viewrange have to calculate with.
See here for the formula
Here the link. It's pc but should be mostly true for us too
https://wiki.wargaming.net/en/Camo_and_Spotting#Spotting_Range
Centurion 7 camo factor while stationary is 11.7% (according to WoT PC official wiki page)
By that math
512 -(512 -50)× 11.7% = 458m
That means I should spot him as soon as he's 445m away
Too lazy to do the reverse math now but ours is better
Now add some skill and camo net and there you go.
He had no commander nor equipment, it was a custom game
Everything looks to be normal and as expected.
445 view range will see the Centurion at 365m
The more you increase your view range, the more you defeat his camo, so that 365m will increase with the more view range you have.
Doing the math as you said he has camouflage paint, I'd expect you to spot him at 404.82 meters
Well, that's clarify things.
Thank you, much appreciated.
Can we please get the view range formula?
