Rogal Dorn is broken

I bought that with 50% discount and I feel it’s the most unbalanced tank of the game, even more than Taran, Wiesel or Molot.

The gun penetrates 99% of the times, if you load the the secondary with HE you harass your opponent with criticals and if you find a soft target you do 1580 extra damage.

It has the second best HP pool after Maus, but moves faster.

To this add average player completely ignores its weak spots.

Being Warhammer I don’t think it will be ever sold for free xp, so we are a bit pay per win here.

If you bought that is pointless playing any other tier ten heavy

It's strong but in no way as strong as the other tanks mentioned. Nice balancing factor of the Dorn is thinner weakspots that tier 8s are capable of penning

But nobody cares it’s numerous weak spots. Consider when I play Tortoise sometimes I bounce 9.000 because nobody fires where he should.

That's a problem for the players who do not take the time to aim for weaker armor. The Dorn is only as good as the enemy team let's it be considering it's still a superheavy with poor camo and mobility as well as numerous weakspots. It's very much a tank that can be outplayed

Lowerplate is butter… if the average player doesn’t shoot lower plate on most tanks then oh boy.

I also thought it's lower plate was weak... But then I bounced of it's lowerplate 4-5 times in row when shootin it with premium that has 317mm of pen 😶🙄

either youre very unlucky or lying or exagerating, i fired at the rogal dorn and penned the lower plate every single time without issue. either he was very angled or as i said youre very unlucky.

I was playing Panzer VII in Liberty Falls inside city under 50m distance from that enemy Rogal Dorn, no videoclip though... I guess he was angled very well indeed... 🙄

The Rogal's curved shape to the lfp does make it ridiculously strong once angled

But it's not OP, as others have mentioned it's only as strong as the enemy let it be

Genuinely I think the Rogal Dorn is a good example of what a superheavy should be. Devastating gun(s) and thick main armor but still retaining weakspots to let bottom tiers fight it at various angles.

what about it isnt true? The cupolas, lower plate (head on) and side armor above the track are all susceptable to tier 8 standard pen (assuming ~212mm pen rounds). The guns are also extremely powerful

if i struggle to pen it spamming premium in my is4, it is a problem there isnt a tank that should be able to stand 340 mm of pen standing in the open its not just “unlucky” or “bad angles” they add all those stupid cosmetic designs for a reason so you cant see the weakspots

idk what to tell you, the three weakspots I listed are unobstructed and highly visible. There are others as well (in the form of below the drive wheel frontally, side/back of turret, base of cupolas, and the sponsons) but those are only reliable with tier 10 pen values.

its kinda like fighting a Type 5 where you need to select the flattest plate while avoiding the more extreme angles or thicknesses

IS4 goes straight through a rogal. Stuff the weak spots, the lower plate goes and is huge.
