#I think you guys need to focus some more learning material into the game and on the website/discord.

There seems to be a awful lot of young tankers joining in on the game that have no idea what they're doing or talking about. I get a lot of hate mail after wins from people saying I'm cheating or driving a broken tank because they can't pen me. I try to assure them that the Centurion AX is not a broken tank lol. They just need to learn where to shoot and what perks will them hit the target.

I started introducing my oldest kid to this game recently and I'm finding out there is just a whole lot not covered by the training missions. WIth this being a tier based fight (and if you have my luck you're always on the bottom tier of the match lol) there is a whole ton of info these new tankers need. Even the ones that have been around a year or two that "think" they know some things.

Some material to be readily available to them that would help would be a breakdown of perks and equipment and which tanks those are essential for. You know some tips like "tanks with a fast reload don't really need the reload perks". Or something like "camoflouge is essential for all lightly armored TD's". Stuff like that that is hard to come by without some smart alec thinking they know it all and being mean to them. Some other things they need to know are how to use the module viewer to see the weak spots and pen values of popular tanks.

If we don't help teach the new and younger players how to play and advance, this game won't be able to go another 10 years (or it will and it'll only be us old guys hanging around)

Agreed. The current "training" missions also aren't that good. I have to walk a lot of my friends through how the game works even after they complete all basic and advanced trainings

You're invincible in the tanks they put you in lol. I literally tried to die and couldn't. It's a rude awakening when they run their first tier 1 tank and get wrecked and every shot bounces.

ANd put them in the que screen not the match loading screen. Internet speeds are so fast these days I don;t have time to read anything on it lol

War stories Version 2.

YouTube is full of content related to the game, all beginners need is a little willingness and to study the material before taking the test.

Why should the player have to go to ten other places to actually learn how to play well? The game is easy to learn, but quite complicated to master. The tips on the map loading screens are only helpful in the first twenty games or so. Where to go on maps, hull down, commander skills…. You have to lean on the community for that.

I would stand by that ALL data should be visible in game

This thread should be listened, the old training missions offered back in the years were more informative and useful then what we have nowadays

You do the tutorials, you do the co-op, you get whacked by a FV4005 in your first battle. You get trained to be cannon fodder for the 35% of players with e-peen issues.

I don't see the training logic by dumping new players into Tier 11/Era 1. Pre-Build 6.0 if allowing new players straight into Tier it would have been launched at by everyone.

tutorial videos and forums are great but they arent accessible in game which creates a barrier for new players who arent willing to go out of their way to make their game experience enjoyable. Basic and advanced information should be easily accessed in game rather than having to visit third party sites. Plus it would be way nicer from a player convenience standpoint. I for one am tied of having to use PC's armor viewer and having to google wot console [tank name] to get information on a tank's upgraded turret/guns.
