Object 477A “Molot”

Me and others have said this many times but I didn’t post it as a feedback, so here it is.

The 477 is broken and overpowered, it requires minimum skill to play and it’s basically impenetrable from the front, not to mention the side and even the rear has armor as well. The armor alone makes this thing OP and I don’t want to talk about the gun, it’s just ridiculous.

I know the nerf probably won’t happen but as a player who loves playing this game and has spent hundreds of dollars on it, I think it’s my duty to let WG know what me and other players think about the game, in this case, the 477A.

Here are my ways to fix it so it doesn’t break era 3 but not too weak:

1. Make the entire lower plate penetrable

2. Pen nerf : 900/180 -> 720/150

Pretty sure everyone has figured the Molot out by this point.

If it's a distance or face hugging you spam HE at its upper plate.
If your gun is over 120mm you can overmatch the sides entirely.
If it's alone get round the sides and behind it (everyone should know by now not to shoot the front half of the sides).
Keep it tracked.

It's really not as op as you think squirrel. The way more broken vehicle for general matchmaking is the Wiesel Tow and I see you in that all the time 😆

I'm indifferent about the penetration nerf, the Tank would still be great after the nerf, but leaving the gun as is while nerfing the armor would be fine with me as well

Molot has insane armor. Easier said than done.

The problem I have with the Molot is the armor. The pen doesn’t really matter but the armor needs to be adjusted.

Well the sick gun is a big part of the vehicles whole point. You can still go hulldown after the lower plate nerf.

As it stands it's overpowered and the biggest issue is the armor

It has terrible traverse and a semi traversable turret if your sitting Infront of it trying to fight it your doing it wrong

Nobody is saying that you can't kill a Molot, most of us destroyed many of them regularly. However they are still stronger than all the other Era 3 vehicles, with exception of the Wiesel

Give the M1A1/M1A2 Abrams and other MBT's a HE round instead of the near useless HEAT round. There is one available for NATO 120mm guns.

That would allow them to at least do SOME damage to a Molot frontally. Not a lot but maybe enough to slow them down.

You start to run into ammo count limitations as well. Non-penetrating HE might do half damage at best compared to AP. So it takes a lot of ammo and shots.

I watched the Tankfest Stream where Plague was discussing the Molot. The Molot was designed to be near impenetrable frontally. It is working as designed.

Giving HE rounds to more tanks be the ONLY option.

The molot can be destroyed be a Wiesel easily I’ve ammo racked 100 of them but when you face it with other MBTs they become almost impossible to kill

They really aren’t. The Wiesel can more easily hit the LFP, but any mbt can attack the sides/rear/wheels effectively. The thing you can’t do is “sit in front of it” and expect much in the way of results, unless you have missiles/heat and a shot at the LFP

And the drive wheels are giant squishy corners if you get almost any angle at all with other ammo. (Tracks will eat atgm or heat there)

You can pen it from the front, there's 2 places but it is annoying... but not as annoying as losing a Spotted Wiesel that's directly right in fccing front of you, they need to fix that mechanic first.

I say it's a mechanic/coding issue, because if you can see something clearly moving & are able to obviously determine that that's an enemy then the game should keep it spotted until line of sight has been broken.

Spotting has to do with assist tho so basically it would remove all spotting assists from CW. Rip moe values

It's actually the camo mechanic, shooting reduces camo for a few seconds that's why It's lit up, but even those few meterd in front of you It's out of your spotting rsnge again, due to It's ridiculous camo value

Yeah it’s only got that camo value when it’s set up for it you have to sacrifice skills and equipment for the camo

If anything it’s turning should be nerfed so it’s not able to get away as easy

Don’t know how many of you have actually read this thread clearly none of you as I’ve already agreed that the Wiesel needs to be nerfed for its turning and camo and the Molot nerfing in every way

It’s not hard to understand that they need nerfing but how long have they been out and how long have people been crying over it just saying wargaming has never listened to its player base they aren’t gonna start now so just suck it up and deal with it or stop playing which is what they’re basically saying as there’s not even a mention about making changes/balances to either tank.

Dude, I know you don’t like the thing, but that ac has like 50mm pen. It can track, maybe damage optics. It’s not doing anything useful to an mbt frontal armor. No reason to be hyperbolic

I refuse to play the molot in pvp it's a bs tank thing bounces it's own gun easily and the 1250mm pen atgm from the jaguar1 like bruh 😑

The best thing about Molots is the satisfaction of blowing them up. That feeling is extended to Wiesels. Especially if it involves a really juicy ram.

I have a damage reduction build on my Molot so unless multiple tanks ram me it ain’t gonna do anything baring get you killed by ramming

That shot may have penetrated because the vehicle rocked back thanks to the autocannon firing, presenting you with a better angle.
