You missed the is7 at 303 and the leman russ at 304 hell the nemesis only gets 310 on all its ap rounds.

the concept is a t9 and 310 at t9 is fine much higher than the cobra t54 the double tap and a bunch of other t9s with sub 300 pen that need a pen buff the sharpshooter and e50 only gets 270 premium to name a few the arachnid is at 280 id say around 310 is fine for t9s and around 320 premium for t10s is about where most tanks should be as for standard rounds about 260 is fair for most tanks the leman russ only gets 232 standard which is a joke and forces premium spam overall not a bad start but needs more to be complete

I think the problem is not the pen is how much they loose pen at range. If they was losing less pen at range it would feel better cause most of those tanks have absolutely no trouble under 100m

the is7 is fine, 310 heat is not good even in tier 9 heat is worse than apcr in terms of armor pentation a lot of heavies have more than 310 heat

Their pen is low but isn't bad, but paired with high drop off it becomes obnoxious

High drop off would make sense on a brawling TD like the E4 to incentivise it to get close before firing it's gun, you could literally give the Waffentrager's drop off to the E4 and it would still have more pen at max range than the Pz7 does at 100m

310 heat is still better than the 280 heat the arachnid gets and if you cant make 310 pen work thats a you issue 310 is fine for t9 regardless of if its heat or apcr.

The is7 and the leman russ can both make do spamming gold as you generally dont need more than 300 pen to make do but i dont want to spam gold all the time if your hypothetical buff to a kranvagn gets 272 apcr and 330 heat because you like that tank other tanks should also get buffs equal to it all of the tanks you listed are "fine" as is but if your going to argue 303 pen with 50m drop off is good your wrong its playable but nowhere near "fine"

these tanks want buffs to be on an equal footing to each other giving one tank a penetration buff because you like it but denying that same buff to another tank with a worse gun makes no sense the is7 has a worse gun than an e100s 12.8cm but you want to give the e100s 12.8cm a buff theres no sense of fairness here is there?

They loose more pen but both the is7 and the 12.8cm all finish up at the same pen over 500m 263mm meaning they perform equally at 500m outside other stats you buff the penetration on the 12.8cm by 10m does that raise the 500m drop off to 273 while the is7 is still stuck at 263 if so they no longer directly compete and if you add iron mace into the mix the higher the drop off the more useful the perk so is7 would get 276ish while the maus would be at 280+ i dont know the exact figure and cant be bothered working it out when the points obvious

So by that logic apcr only gets 2% normalisation which as you just established actually matters and has a big impact on armour... So if a tank has say 303 apcr when every other tank in the game is getting 320+ apcr according to your proposed buffs it would be at a disadvantage over all the other tanks right?
