Not too long ago, PC announced a new tank for tier VIII. The Nemesis, a British project from the 70's to design a cheaper tank for export that is still capable enough.
The basic design goals were to be as cheap as possible, whilst also being better than a T-62. Maximum price for the project was £150,000 for the tank and 5 years of spare parts.
The most notable thing about the tank is the gun. 105, 120 and 76mms were considered, but they went with a 110mm, which the UK was experimenting with at the time. This was to offer better performance than the 105mm, but not be overkill.
In addition, it had a 25mm Co-axial autocannon.
The armour was decent for the period. 94mm sloped back at 70° on the upper plate, and up to 339mm on the turret. Engine was a German V8 Diesel with an intended top speed of 40 Mph.
With the addition of the MBT-80 into ERA 3, I feel that this tank would be perfect for Era 2. It would be akin to a harder hitting, better armoured AMX-30, but likely slower or at least more sluggish. At tier VIII, like how PC proposed it, I feel it's a waste, especially when it's capable of being tier X if needed. However, at Era 2, the autocannon would be available and so is it's primary target, the T-62.
