Avre has to much armor

Nerf its armor i dont care about the Cannon but the armor is just ridiculous the upper and lower plate are basically invincible for everything

If you don't nerf it just put it in cw

Make the ammo from HE --> HEAT
Remove the spaced armour from the lower plate (below the shovel)
Nerf turret roof to 30mm

Ammo change should be enough tho since that's the most aids thing about it

I was playing my AVRE yesterday, and hit an E-100 in the side of the turret full pen with standard hesh. This thing is broken as F.

True, the gun needs to be balanced, somewhere between a type 5 & Tusk as it should be for a medium tank.

Yea the hull armor is stupid. I have seen an AVRE in the open at thiepval ridge and multiple tier 10’s (including jagpanzer e-100) could not damage the front hull thanks to that ridiculous plow and retreated behind a hill. From my experience, fire (gold rounds recommended depending what tank you are using) at the coaxial gun just next to the main gun. It’s only 235mm but a small window to connect. Check in-game armor viewer to see gun mantlet armor. Basically just aim at the coaxial gun. If you aim to far out the shell will hit additional armor behind the mantlet and bounce. Hope this helps.

His tank was angled slightly up and you hit the top of his cupola which is why you bounced. At that angle was probably a 60/40 chance you pen you just got unlucky

And shooting an e100 turret with 340 heat pen is also all green lol

Stats wise, the avre is underperforming.
It's at the bottom of tier x med damage+assists.

Its not overperforming because the tank is simply braindead. The difference between good players and bad players is nullified: the tank plays itself. The problem about the avre is the fact that everyone, even players that just picked up the game yesterday can do good, no need for learning the game, the tank, angling ecc. just fire at whats in front of you. The tank need a rework
