This is something that really annoys me. They seem to majorly base how much XP you gain by winning or losing matches... It's not a fair system! I have seen players that have blatantly sat at the back of the map and done nothing, no damage done, no hits taken, no tanks killed... but we win a match and they are rewarded with XP for doing nothing. On the other hand I have seen me doing 2k plus damage with 2 tank kills in a losing match because my team all dies at the start and I get almost no XP for it! I just seems unfair and broken. How does winning or losing a match matter more than someones contribution to the match?

They’ll just lower exp rates and you’ll end up earning the same amount of exp, it doesn’t matter. If you’re frustrated doing damage in losing battles, you’re probably winning more than you’re losing. If you’re not winning more than you’re losing, just get better and win more
I do consistently good damage but when you get games when the team all dies at the start then you have zero chance of winning... This game is not a team game anymore because everyone only cares about themselves and not about playing as part of a team now

I agree 100% with the OP. Yes the 'winners' should get more. But the way the I see the game in 2023 needs to adjust from what it was, Pre build 6.0. Their is basically Zero reward / reason to finish in say the top 7 on a losing side. This also affects I believe the recent increase in 'blow out' games. I often now 'give up' when I go left or right only to see the other flank collapse and the game is lost. It's much better to die ASAP and start another game. I 'grind' for XP and silver faster using this approach. It would be better for the game if 'fighting on' had the guarantee of something rather than nothing.
IMO, an XP boost for top 3 or 5 on the losing team would help with this and really help the game overall.
Some kind of medal or award for a decent defeat would be good. X2 your health, 3 kills or more etc., for a XP boost so the constant losses (when you’re on an unlucky run) don’t seem too annoying.
