<@&630898404481826887> ello, I wasn’t sure who to send this to but I was wondering what the possibility is that there will ever be a disc version of the game? I have played this game on and off for almost 9 years and if this game ever stops receiving updates due to low amounts of players, I would love to still be able to access the game, even after servers would be closed. It would be nice to look at all the tanks I have and still play against AI. I would love to be able to have a hard copy of the game just to look back on in the future. I am not sure if I would be able to have an email for one of the admins but I would really like this to become a reality and would obviously pay for a copy like this. I would just hate to have all of this progress of mine be for nothing. At some point in the future I would hope that a physical copy of the game would be available and I hope you can have my idea/feedback sent to the developers. Like I said, in 30, 40 years from know I would love to be able to look back on this game and if the servers ever would shut down, I wouldn’t be able to access anything and my 9 years of progress would be for nothing. Just wanting this to not fall on deaf ears. Thank you.

Disc versions of the game do not mean that you will be able to play the game if/when the servers are shut down.
<@&630898404481826887> Yes it would. You would still be able to play against AI. And then could look at the tanks in my garage.
Most online only games dont work that way. This game like amny require an online connection, the game checks for an online connection when you boot it up. If you cant get that connection the game will never get past is inital boot menu. It being on a disc doesnt really matter as the console is just reading the information stored on a disk which is practically no different than it being stored on a hard drive or SSD.
<@&630898404481826887> Could this ever be a possibility to be done on a disk setting? Or will all of my time eventually be a waste if the game ever shuts down? That is why I am asking because I would love to be able to look at this game many many years down the road. I know that there can be a way to make this a disk version.
Please dont ping staff.
Why not? I am trying to see if it would be a possibility and they would be the ones to let me know.
@lethal osprey
No, this is not true.
The game progress is not saved on the console, its saved server side.
If the severs are not available you are not able to play the game.
A physical version of the game is not planned. IIRC there used to be one with the game release on the xbox 360.
Also it is enough to ping one person from the WoTC staff role 😉 you don't need to ping all of the admins.
@ripe bone I don’t know who to ping, brand new to the server. And I understand that currently the game is server based. I am asking if it is possible to have a disk version made? As my previous comments have said, I would like to be able to reflect on this game many years from now. I just want to know if this cane be a possibility or am I just being shut down? That is all. Thanks.
No, it is not possible to have a disk version made.
Sounds good, thank you. Please keep it in mind for the future. I feel like it would be a good idea. Thanks again.
the release Disc would no longer work, if you had a disc?
Did you read my previous posts?
yes but i'm unclear looking at this. https://i.ebayimg.com/images/g/dtsAAOSwGLRjc3ff/s-l400.jpg. As it says online only, Xbox gold required.
