One day I got on my oculus and the screen went black, and it came back on, but there was nothing really there so I turned off the oculus and rebooted it and the same thing happened. I couldn’t log into my current profile in oculus basically shut down. I tried to do a hard reset that didn’t work so I ended up starting it out like it was a brand new device which means I had a rep purchase the golf game and on my other apps or games that I had is there any way of finding my old profile? I lost all my friends my clubs I handicap.

Your game purchases and in game stats are stored in meta's servers and in our servers wholly independently of your device. As long as you are logged into the same account you purchases and game progress should always be there.

Is there any possibility you logged into a different account after the reset? Or maybe you had more than one account on your headset before the reset and utilized app sharing?

I think that may have happened here.

Based on what you mentioned about using app sharing and having two Facebook/Meta accounts, my guess is that one account originally purchased the game and you were playing off that license through app sharing or directly on that account.

On our end I can still see all of your previous rounds, stats, and handicap connected to the markvw account you sent me, so that progress is still there. What likely happened is that after the factory reset the headset was set up using the other account instead of the one that originally had access to the game.

Unfortunately I can’t see which account was the primary vs secondary one on your headset, but if you’re able to sign your headset back into the other account you were using before, your progress should show up again.

Regarding the extra copy of the game that was purchased after the reset — we can’t process refunds for purchases directly, but if you reach out to Meta support and explain the situation they will probably be able to help refund the duplicate purchase once you’re back on the correct account.
