I like using the " ^^ " kaomoji reaction. but since moving to linux from windows i have to press a key 4 times to do it.
I know ^ is supposed to be combined with another character and thats why, but how do i change it so i can just type it like a regular character like on windows?
I have a swedish keyboard layout, the ^ key for me is next to enter.

hello ^w^ i would like to say one thing its more likely a key board issue bcs i have a simmilar expirience with mine up arrow key it's just that the key board sometimes forggets one signal sign and i would strongly recomend buying a new one as in my other key boards don't have this issue it's just that one in perticular

i tried on a different keyboard and the issue persisted unfortunately. and i had this same keyboard on a windows machine previously, and that issue did not come up then. it seems wierd for the keyboard to be the issue on one OS and not the other.

it's due to Linux (X11 at least, I don't know how Wayland manage it) input method that works in a slightly different way than in Windows. ^ is a diacritic, it is normally intended to be associated with another character : ê î ô û
