If you have a desktop PC, you should find colored plug for these on the back
Usually, Green = Speaker, Red/Pink = Microphone.
damn I only have line in, out, and mic, unfortunately
Basic sound chip usually have only that. Additional soundcard exists.
What are the speaker set these jack come from ?
(it's only an example)
It was gifted to me by a family friend who had it lying around so I don't know the exact set, but it looks something like this one, just not surround so without two of the front speakers and the wide short speaker https://www.store.refurbit.co.uk/product/creative-subwoofer-surround-sound-speakers-system-inspire-p5800/
You mean your is a 2.1 ?
2.1 = Two speaker + Subwoofer
5.1 = Five speaker + Subwoofer
lmao yeah that's a better way to put it
If you simply plug the green one, the subwoofer does not work at all ?
It actually does and I somehow hadn't noticed it
It would have be very unusual... 2.1 speakers systems usually does not have separate subwoofer jack, it filter from the standard stereo input.
However I can't tell you what the other jack are really used for without more details or sound system exact model
I think it's odd that they both output to the subwoofer
