tldr, My opera GX browser cannot play videos from amazon prime or crunchyroll because the widevine config is not set up/incorrect. I have been following steps online, but now that I've gotten the necessary config to steal from chrome, I cannot file the file for opera that i have to edit. according to the guides online I should be able to search for in the terminal, but the terminal returns and error stating that the file in question does not exist
#widevine config for Opera GX

I looked into it more, and I think the problem is that they don’t have a flatpak for it yet. But according to the site, they are working on one
So maybe when that comes out it will work?
but yeah the Widevine files needed to make video sites like Amazon prime video and crunchyroll are straight up missing, and all fixed online assume the files are there but just broken
Maybe use the .deb package?
Surely they have one
well, that's their preference.
fair enough ig
I tried, it did not have the files and as far as I can tell there’s no way to fix it
They all tell me to delete a file that does not exist and then force redownload it, but since I lack the file in the first place I should just be able to download it and the restart the web browser. Alas, It will not download said files
