So recently there's been sound coming from my system since I installed linux, idk, ppl say it's fan sound, but it never happened when I used windows
And yea system gets heated really quick

#

I installed linux mint last week

#

install iotop and psensor

#

the first is to see if and what is writing bazzillions of bytes recklessly to SSD/HDD (shouldn't be)

#

the latter can graph and monitor CPU, GPU, other sensors to you can view a trend on the graph

that's nothing

#

if u were loading a complex web page or w/e

#

it's when the graph peaks and SUSTAINS for minutes and minutes at a time, that there's a concern

#

temps sustained at 85 or below are fine

Usually the noice and heat occurs when I open discord while using Firefox

perhaps the speakers. I wouldn't know why though

Go into your BIOS. Are your fans set to Smart Fan? Sometimes when installing a new OS it resets your fan settings.

it always occurs the exact moment when i open discord, not with other apps, fan runs at 4900 rpm max
