currently having a sound issue, im new to linux mint (and linux in general) so if anyone could help that would be great
im using a Steam Deck (LCD, 512gb ssd) with linux mint cinnamon! in pulseaudio it shows that the audio 'works', even though there is no actual sound coming from the machine! Alsamixer didnt work nor did reinstalling anything, im just annoyed since it has been going on for about 4 hours now. I made posts in the forums and reddit but that didnt yield anything
I attached the system information in the txt file since it probably wont fit here....
#No sound at all.

Found your thread on the forums, did you try installing that stuff from the last post?
absolute necro, but it didnt work this issue has been happening for a while now, i had to reinstall mint itself to fix it, but its back now and i need to get to the bottom of this
i tried other methods but they are yet to work, at all
hmm, okay. I'm not familliar enough with the steamdeck. Your pipewire seems to be running. Perhaps someone with more knowledge will have a solution.
still, thanks for showing me the forum post, i couldnt check it myself since at the time the website was grinded to a halt for me so i checked back here, but yeah again, thanks!
I found google gemini to be useful when troubleshooting things. it pulls information from the whole internet and there might be a clue to what's happening with your situation. don't enter commands blindly though. understand what it wants you to do and then decide. also check the sources it delivers
I fixed that issue on mine by installing Liquorix Kernel. I'm running LMDE 7 though.
it seems to be a problem with Ubuntu in general, i switched to Zorin and Based Ubuntu for a few days and both happened after a Restart
which is weird
i did try Liquorix but the problem continued even on XFCE
im not sure what causes this it is really confusing and annoying
the only "safe" way i can close the system in intentionally FREEZING the entire OS and holding the power button until it force closes which never causes the sound problem
but i am SURE it causes other problems
