Yall might get this question a lot but.... Shure MV7 microphone. It's recognized as an input. Hell, it works. Problem is... it's too damn quiet. I gotta get up close and intimate with the mic for it to sound like anything more than a whisper. The Shure MOTIV desktop app isn't able to be used on Linux to my understanding so I can't tweak any settings with that...

Any suggestions for making this mic louder? Any applications I can download or tweaks I can make in the terminal?

if it's a dynamic mic, this probably won't work well at all on a PC input.
