#Audio bug and mono audio

after switching to linux mint I have had occasional audio glitches when my device has been left on for an extended period of time (usually like 8+hours)

there are 2 variations of it

  1. all audio is gone and replaced with something only describable as the wii crash noise (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=h6bvzqitf6o)

  2. audio stays but loops a 1 second audio segment for like 5 seconds (example: talking in vc and then a sentence of "ill get so much money" turns into "ill get so ill get so ill get so ill get so ill get so") followed by maybe a quick second of everything i missed sped up if im lucky, otherwise it skips entirely

the only fix i have found so far is powering off the pc and waiting a bit before powering back on and on occasion that still doesn't fully work and I have to do it a second time.

are you using HDMI-out (or DP-out) for sound via the GPU? or the analog line-out jacks?

you gotta use the flatpk version
go to effects
add stereo tools
then under stereo matrix in the center of the screen set mode to mono sum
