Games launch into black screen.

i downloaded linux mint yesterday, when i try to launch a game on steam it opens but, all i get is a black screen with background audio.
i have tried downloading all versions of proton that are on and steam and GE-proton noone have worked. i have tried downloading the correct drivers but that also didnt work. im using an 3060 ti.

shoved that command in the terminal and got this: Command '~mokutil' not found, did you mean:
command 'mokutil' from deb mokutil (0.6.0-2)
