open alsamixer in terminal and press F6 to choose the soundcard (or usb soundcard, whatever your mic is) , maximize the terminal window
then turn the mic boost column to zero or damn-near zero
use sound recorder app in software manager to test.
okayy it says HDA ATI HDMI and HDA Intel PCH
what is it again
open alsamixer in terminal and press F6 to choose the soundcard (or usb soundcard, whatever your mic is) , maximize the terminal window
buddy im asking what column
mhm
pick only intel PCH
press F4 n adjust capture level (IF needed)
n use sound recorder
?
open up pavucontrol
install it if u dont have it
then ensure in its config tab, that the hdmi profiles are put to OFF
put the intel builtin audio to analog stereo DUPLEX
press record in sound recorder, then go to the 'recording' tab of pavu, and ensure it's capturing the built-in audio, not monitor-of builtin
and ensure no mute switches are on the mic hardware
okay this is sounding normal now thanks
