#What size should I set my root partition?

I don't have any issues atm, just looking for advice for how I should partition my drives for mint, I'm thinking of using 16gb for root and /boot (one partition) and 16gb for swap (for 16gb of ram), but idk if I need more or less.
I don't plan on building up unnecessary kernels or anything, and I primarily want to partition this way because I want to have the flexibility to swap to a different distro without formatting my whole drive and to make things easier to organize.
I'm also curious how well mint functions with btrfs, and if I should format all of my drives to btrfs or have just the root partition as ext4 or some other setup depending on how well mint handles multi fs setups.
The third question I have is if the mint iso comes with a good paritioning tool or if I should also put gparted on my installer before I start installing mint

i set it to 24

all programs install to root!

if u wanna back urself into a corner, go ahead

#

if u only got like 50 gigs to play with IN TOTAL then absolutely, positively DO NOT make separate partitions for home and root. use one for root and that's all

So not an issue, since I set the /home partition to have access to 90% of the 1tb drive

u will definitely want to resize partitions if u gave your root size something miserably small
