hello i want to learn linux but i am a complete new to this and dont know what to do, where to install or how to learn, i found out this was the easiest linux to learn, i want to learn a little hacking probably and see if i like it, can anyone help me?

limpid vault
#

install what?

#

@tardy stirrup

tardy stirrup
limpid vault
#

any particular distro?

tardy stirrup
#

well

#

depends, idk which one do u think is the best for learning

#

mint?

limpid vault
#

Mint is one of at least 8 easy to use ones

#

at their core, they all use the linux kernel to run the whole show

#

and under the hood, all use the GNU tools, core libraries

#

and BASH, which is the common "command language" in the terminal

#

I'll show you something you can play around with for a few days

#

one moment

tardy stirrup
#

ok

#

is ubuntu easier?

limpid vault
#

the User Interface (UI) not really

#

however, its official spins - Xubuntu, Kubuntu etc.. very much are quite familiar to the eye

#

you can use UUI to set up a USB stick . let the stick be at least 8 GB so u can have some room for persistence

#

adjust the slider exactly how he shows it for persistence.

#

but no more than 4 GiB

tardy stirrup
#

will do, ty

tardy stirrup
limpid vault
#

that way you can try the Mint (or xubuntu, or kubuntu) LIVE

#

see the vid. i mention UUI below it

tardy stirrup
#

btw, do i have to spend any money?

limpid vault
#

not only live (which means it runs ready/hot right off the usb, no install) but with persistence means it keeps any changes you make in your session

#

regarding money: No. Just some time to watch the video and one not-expensive but decent USB stick 8 GB or bigger

#

so that's pretty much it. watch the vid and learn

#

and use UUI as he does

#

also see our #1295728709306683482 Index for introductory things -- and more!

tardy stirrup
#

i just watched the video, can i use any usb i want? i have one that is 15gb but its not the same as in the video

#

i also didnt really get how i can just switch between windows and linux

limpid vault
limpid vault
#

when u want to use Windows, just turn off pc, unplug usb, then turn back on.

#

contrast to INSTALLING it PERMANENTLY onto the PC hard drive. that is different. and even that way there is a way to dual-boot with Windows.

limpid vault
#

that will let you try it out. Next time you boot the usb up, it will remember any changes you did to linux. (preferences, programs, etc)

#

to boot the USB up so it loads this live environment, you press the boot menu key for your machine.

#

within one or 2 seconds after turning it on

tardy stirrup
#

Like when they say easy to use, what exactly is different from others

limpid vault
#

it's a DIFFERENT OPERATING SYSTEM.

#

it is graphical.. like Windows.

#

it has some quality of life adjustments, easily included in its settings manager

#

but it is NOT windows

#

try it out and u'll see

tardy stirrup
#

But it has the terminal, like the most important thing

limpid vault
#

so what?

tardy stirrup
#

No thats what i want

limpid vault
#

if u want to learn it sure. EVERY linux distro has a terminal emulator app

tardy stirrup
#

Yesss

limpid vault
#

literally every one.

tardy stirrup
#

So every command is the same

limpid vault
#

mhm

tardy stirrup
#

Then why is kali linux for example used for hacking

limpid vault
#

all weapons are there.

#

Mint is like buying a house with furniture

tardy stirrup
#

Mmm i get it

limpid vault
#

u have the furniture, but u slowly have to add the tools / " weapons

tardy stirrup
#

So u can hack in mint, just harder

#

And u have to do it yourself

limpid vault
#

i mean not harder, u just gotta first know WHAT to get (that's all up to you and u must read and research) then can easily get many programs from software shop

#

and it's free licence, free cost

tardy stirrup
#

Bro ty so much

limpid vault
#

withUUI above, read that link

tardy stirrup
#

Btw do u know where i can learn about the commands and stuff, like what to do first

limpid vault
#

u can put mint and kali and something else. whatever will fit on one stick

#

and u'll have a choice what to boot off usb

#

mint is 2.9 GB. kali idk. maybe 2 GB

limpid vault
#

you need to really really learn the very very basics first

#

brb

limpid vault
#

for boot menu key for your brand

tardy stirrup
#

I guess ill undestand it when i try it

limpid vault
#

This video is a crash course to help new users get started with BASH. Here is a list of the commands we'll cover:

BEGINNER'S GUIDE TO THE BASH TERMINAL

NAVIGATION

ls - list directory contents
pwd - print name of current/working directory
cd - change working directory
pushd/popd - put working directory on a stack
file - determine file type

and if it's not there's only 1 option

limpid vault
#

he's a good instructor. and this is just introduction. he has many more related to terminal usage, and bash commands

limpid vault
#

even if just one

tardy stirrup
#

Btw i use my pc, not a laptop, is that a problem or could cause problems?

limpid vault
#

if u dont press boot menu key, and choose "USB STORAGE DEVICE" then it will just .. keep going and boot windows

tardy stirrup
limpid vault
tardy stirrup
#

Also, do u recommend the hack the box site? Where i can learn haxking or is that a lil to complex, will i be able to do that after watching the video u send me?

limpid vault
#

u probably are so new that you NEED to watch several of the joe collins ones (last i sent) to get any clue about anything

tardy stirrup
#

Oh ok

limpid vault
#

i dont know the htb site at all.

#

before you can play a symphony, u need to learn the scales, and the instrument

tardy stirrup
#

Well ty for ur help, i will try tomorow and if something went wrong ill ask u

limpid vault
tardy stirrup
limpid vault
#

correct spelling

tardy stirrup
limpid vault
#

feel free to review this chat, top to bottom if get stuck.

#

Have you heard of this Stunner? Could be a good suggestion too for peeps wanting a persistent Linux distro on a usb. I set it up the other day. It's just great. Persistence is all set up automatically.

#

Toolbox option has some handy tools too

limpid vault
#

oh kool. yeah I know MX and Antix Linux does that too

tardy stirrup
#

Idk if u can help me since im using ubuntu

limpid vault
#

wait, nvm. I see it can run UEFI options.

#

follow this:
#1295816480256163892 message

#

pay attention to step 4b. make sure to set as GPT.

tardy stirrup
#

But i dont use mint

night briar
tardy stirrup
#

I dont understand half of what says there

#

Im cooked

#

Oh so balena is no longer usable

#

So i have to use ventoy ok

#

Is there any way someone can guide me through a call or something

limpid vault
#

then 2 , etc

#

if u get stuck, tag me here

tardy stirrup
#

do i need a new usb?

limpid vault
#

no

limpid vault
#

any progress on this, @tardy stirrup ?

tardy stirrup
#

I havent been able to try it

#

I will try to do it tmr

limpid vault
#

don't forget to disable Secure Boot in the security section of your BIOS settings

limpid vault
#

4:02 to 5:17 is all you really need to understand and do. it's that easy. you can watch him boot it on laptop after. (6:44)

tardy stirrup
#

I can use any distribution right?

#

Yeah i dont know how to disable secure boot

#

That mightve been the problem before

limpid vault
limpid vault
tardy stirrup
#

like what key do i have to press

#

i use an msi laptop

limpid vault
#

it should say at the splash screen. when u turn it on

#

read the screen. lower

#

my old MSI :
BIOS key : Delete
Boot menu key: F11

tardy stirrup
#

is delete esc?

#

do i hold it or click it fast+

limpid vault
#

just press it once or twice. the Delete key or whatevr it says

tardy stirrup
#

ok ive been clicking delete nothing happened

limpid vault
#

u must do it within the first 1 or 2 seconds that the computer turns on

tardy stirrup
#

i am spamming esc and delete just from the moment i restarted the laptop

limpid vault
#

does it say to use ESC?

tardy stirrup
#

oh its f2 i thing

limpid vault
#

K

#

do u see security section?

tardy stirrup
#

i havent watched the vid yet

#

nah i still havent accessed

#

bro its not f2 either wth

limpid vault
#

google your <MSI model + BIOS key>

tardy stirrup
#

ye it says f2 or esc

limpid vault
#

and ensure the F-keys works without the need for Fn

night briar
limpid vault
#

can also probably go to BIOS from Windows, but that is LAST RESORT. u really should know the hot key

#

which i believe is DEL

#

unless MSI changed it in recent years

tardy stirrup
#

is del, supr?

limpid vault
#

DELETE

#

idk what it translates to

tardy stirrup
#

just to make sure, delete is basically the key u use to delete a letter when writing right?

limpid vault
tardy stirrup
#

im tweaking it cant be that hard

#

f11

limpid vault
#

yeah boot menu was F11 on mine old

night briar
tardy stirrup
limpid vault
tardy stirrup
#

spanish but i dont even know what it means

limpid vault
#

lel

tardy stirrup
#

bro im just gonna try with every key

night briar
tardy stirrup
#

omg finally

#

i dont even know what key it is but fk it im in

#

Alr what now

limpid vault
#

look for security

tardy stirrup
#

ok secure boot

#

do i just click it?

limpid vault
#

highlight

#

then change value

#

it tells u on side or bottom how to change value

night briar
tardy stirrup
#

highlight?

limpid vault
#

select with arrow keys yes

tardy stirrup
#

it says change opt.

limpid vault
#

yep so press + or -

#

til it changes to disabled

#

then save n exit

tardy stirrup
#

ok i accepted and reset the pc

#

chat am i ready to become ryan montgomery

limpid vault
#

now u can boot ventoy with F11

tardy stirrup
#

so now i gotta watch the video

limpid vault
#

which one?

tardy stirrup
#

all

limpid vault
#

did u make ventoy usb?

night briar
limpid vault
#

and put ubuntu on it

tardy stirrup
limpid vault
tardy stirrup
#

on it

#

he is doing it on linux so should i use the first one?

#

2.36

limpid vault
limpid vault
#

Pay attention he says how for Windows too. (2:43 to 2:57) . Example site he is using is on the github web address, see the address shown in the video.

tardy stirrup
#

its crazy how my laptop takes 1min to download 15mb

#

when my pc would do it in 1sec

#

same wifi btw

limpid vault
#

maybe antenna angle/ positioning. or just poor wifi adapter, or some other network crap setting 😄

tardy stirrup
#

Why does my download look like this

limpid vault
#

unzip it

#

to do ur downloads folder

#

n unzip

tardy stirrup
#

Right unzip it..

#

Yh idk how to that😭🙏🏻

limpid vault
#

just right cick the zi

#

n ur files app

tardy stirrup
limpid vault
#

may say "extract here"

#

in windows, DO NOT GO INTO THE ZIP

#

right click it: extract

tardy stirrup
#

😭

limpid vault
#

o my g

#

click "show in folder"

#

then right click the zip file.. and extract

tardy stirrup
#

Bro it just gets me into the same place

limpid vault
#

right click the zip

#

what options u get?

tardy stirrup
#

Extraer

limpid vault
#

yeah that

#

then go into the folder it makes, and run ventoy2disk. and follow rest of vid

tardy stirrup
#

Ok

#

Yeah maybe ts aint for me tbh

limpid vault
#

that's why i said UUI

tardy stirrup
#

No idea what that means

limpid vault
#

but do ventoy , it's easy af

tardy stirrup
tardy stirrup
limpid vault
#

u fucked up

tardy stirrup
#

Youre joking

limpid vault
#

i even sent u pic how to change to GPT

#

go to option menu, and press "Clear Ventoy"

#

then hit the refresh icon after that.

limpid vault
tardy stirrup
#

How many times have u done this🙏🏻

limpid vault
#

look the pic man

tardy stirrup
#

Ok i did it

limpid vault
#

so just redo it quick.

#

then hit install

#

once u changed to gpt

tardy stirrup
#

Im such a hacker fr

#

Ok its done

limpid vault
#

says gpt both sides now right?

tardy stirrup
limpid vault
#

k . close that. copy the iso over

tardy stirrup
#

Ubuntu

limpid vault
#

yep. 64 bit right

tardy stirrup
#

Into this?

limpid vault
#

follow the vid

tardy stirrup
#

I dont see the exe

limpid vault
#

folow the vid . 4:02 to 5:17

#

literally drag n drop the iso to ventoy stick

tardy stirrup
#

Would it be better to update first?

#

Or did i just download the latest version

#

Im installing

#

Omg its slow

limpid vault
#

cheap usb

#

i can tell . i saw the name

#

in the ventoy installer box

#

anyway dont rush it. wait for it to finish copying. then wait ANOTHER half minute for sure after that

#

so it doesnt error

#

then reboot n hit F11.

tardy stirrup
#

should i install more iso?

#

or can i do it later

limpid vault
#

u can do later

night briar
tardy stirrup
#

wait wait wait

#

i can just use my ubuntu on any computer?

#

like with my stuff

limpid vault
#

u should have the single ISO file, about 5 gigs big for Ubuntu, on the usb stick labelled 'ventoy' now. yes?

tardy stirrup
#

just with my pendrive

limpid vault
#

yes

tardy stirrup
#

yes

limpid vault
#

the pendrive is a live environment

tardy stirrup
#

thats crazy

limpid vault
#

that means it keeps no changes,

#

but also it's slow-ish

tardy stirrup
#

but shouldnt i change my usb in the future? since its so slow

limpid vault
#

but for terminal practice, it's fine

#

no usb is that fast so don't worry

#

if u want to install it to the SSD, that's another story

tardy stirrup
#

but does ubuntu work better with better usb or is it just downloading stuff

#

no ide what ssd is

limpid vault
#

the SSD is modern-day hard drive. it does not spin or have moving parts like an old fashioned spinning magnetic hard drive

#

anyway test boot. see if it the stick even shows up now in the blue menu

#

on ur MSI laptop.

tardy stirrup
#

ok i am updating windows

limpid vault
#

make sure it's plugged in, and press F11 quick upon restart

tardy stirrup
#

bc why not

limpid vault
#

oh GOD.

#

make sure to use the safe-eject icon if u must remove the usb physically.

tardy stirrup
#

yoo letsgoo

limpid vault
#

never just pull it out. unless the power is off

#

u see the UEFI USB now in the F11 boot menu?

tardy stirrup
#

it says boot in normal mode, grub2 mode and 2 more

limpid vault
#

normal.

tardy stirrup
#

what are the other ones

limpid vault
#

and then the first option to "try ubuntu"

#

dont worry about the others.

tardy stirrup
#

ok im gonna lose it

limpid vault
#

the file checksum one is incase it is in question that the ISO was bad or copied bad. just dont worry about it

tardy stirrup
#

yeah we have a problem

limpid vault
#

why?

tardy stirrup
#

yk what, imma let u guess, cuz it looks pretty bad

limpid vault
#

black screen?

tardy stirrup
#

prob worse

limpid vault
#

did u start ubuntu , first option?

tardy stirrup
#

or maybe its just normal

#

yes

limpid vault
#

give it like 2 minutes to load the environment

tardy stirrup
limpid vault
#

possibly 2.5

#

oh that shit.

tardy stirrup
#

am i cooked

limpid vault
#

not really.

#

dont use that version of ubuntu. ur computer gear doesnt like it 😛

#

get a small ISO.

tardy stirrup
#

no way my computer is that bad hahahah

limpid vault
#

for example... ummm... minios

#

google "mini os linux , official site"

tardy stirrup
#

how do i reboot

limpid vault
#

try ctrl-alt-delete

tardy stirrup
#

supr? haha

limpid vault
#

now that u know where the delete key is

#

if that doesnt do it, just hold the power key for 6 seconds, and restart to windows

tardy stirrup
#

oh the petsis thing

limpid vault
#

petsis is Print Screen no?

#

u should know the translation better than I

tardy stirrup
#

wait which one did u say u thought it wa

#

it doesnt mean anything in spanish

limpid vault
#

supr

tardy stirrup
#

just random

limpid vault
#

u should get all the keycaps changed out for English ones

#

or use a usb keyboard externally

tardy stirrup
#

i dont rlly care about the laptop that much

#

ok nothing worked

limpid vault
#

do the reset with power

tardy stirrup
#

ok

limpid vault
#

boot back to Windows.

tardy stirrup
#

isnt that bad for the computer tho

limpid vault
#

it's fine cuz it just froze.

tardy stirrup
#

btw the usb wasnt the first of the options

limpid vault
#

normally it's bad if it's writing to disk or something

tardy stirrup
#

it was second

limpid vault
#

F11 lets u choose at will

tardy stirrup
#

ok so i have to do everything again

#

oh nvm, just download and drag into the usb right?

#

and delete the old one

limpid vault
#

u may delete it

#

or u may test it later taht ubuntu on ur other pc

tardy stirrup
#

right

limpid vault
#

get the standard edition there

tardy stirrup
#

whats that

limpid vault
#

it's a small linux

tardy stirrup
#

its still ubuntu right?

limpid vault
#

and get it from ur FAST internet PC

tardy stirrup
#

i mean idk if i want a small one

limpid vault
#

then just copy it to the ventoy stick

#

trust me it's pretty good just to learn

tardy stirrup
#

so why is it small

limpid vault
#

it's Debain -based... just like Kali is

#

tbh ubuntu in the last few years got so bloated... for nothing. 5 gig ISO for what?

#

even Mint or Linux Lite or MX linux are like 2.6 gig

tardy stirrup
#

but wont it be hard to find tutorial for this if not so many ppl use it?

limpid vault
#

everything in mini OS is basically debian

tardy stirrup
#

oh this is mini os

limpid vault
#

u can also get MX Linux

tardy stirrup
#

wait what is the name of this

#

what iso

limpid vault
#

of what?

#

the link i sent?

tardy stirrup
#

yes the distribution

#

is it like mini ubuntu or is mini os a complete different iso

limpid vault
#

tardy stirrup
#

do i lose my stuff when i change computers?

#

oh its only 700mb

limpid vault
#

depends what settings u have it

#

download it now.

#

i will help u fix ur USB stick so that it works even better

tardy stirrup
#

can u wait like 15min

limpid vault
#

just set it to download to ur save folder

tardy stirrup
#

sorry i got some things to do

limpid vault
#

oh well start the save anyway now

tardy stirrup
#

it went from saying 50sec to 2h

#

ill text u later

limpid vault
#

erm.

#

that's why i said get the ISO from ur fast PC 😛

tardy stirrup
#

i am

limpid vault
#

ah

tardy stirrup
#

it went half way

#

gtg

limpid vault
#

well 700 MB isnt that big. it should not take too long

tardy stirrup
#

ok im back

limpid vault
#

alrighty

tardy stirrup
#

btw, do u need alot of maths for cyber security? like in the career

#

university

limpid vault
#

i dont think so

tardy stirrup
#

is it like worth it tho, like is ppl happy

#

are

limpid vault
#

you may need to learn about basic stuff like in computers, that deals with Boolean expressions

#

dont ask me, im not in any of that field. i fix lawnmowers

tardy stirrup
#

ok give me a sec

#

ok it finished downloading

#

what now

#

its in ventoy now

limpid vault
#

wait i said i was gonna help u fix the thing

#

take the usb over to your MSI laptop, and copy the ISO from the USB to somwhere on the hard drive for a moment

night briar
limpid vault
#

i hang here long time n got wise

limpid vault
#

ok done?

tardy stirrup
#

ye

limpid vault
#

it's on ur windows hard drive on the MSI now, the mini OS standard ISO yes?

tardy stirrup
#

yes

limpid vault
#

ok run ventoy2disk app again

#

gonna have to leave some 'reserved' area for mini OS to be able to save any persistence on

tardy stirrup
#

i swear if i fk everything up

limpid vault
#

dw. step by step here slow

tardy stirrup
#

will this take long?

limpid vault
#

nah

tardy stirrup
#

i gotta get some rest

limpid vault
#

not at all, if u follow

tardy stirrup
#

ill try

limpid vault
#

run ventoy, then go to Options: "Clear Ventoy"

#

as u had done before...

#

hit the green refresh button after

tardy stirrup
#

ok i did it

limpid vault
#

done?

#

ok

tardy stirrup
#

wait no

limpid vault
#

shows 15 GB usb there in ventoy box right

#

do the clear.

#

done?

tardy stirrup
#

yes

#

i cant check

limpid vault
#

go to Options again, and "Partition Configuration"

tardy stirrup
#

it doesnt say

#

ok

limpid vault
#

in the thing for 'leave space at end' put this number:

#

4096 MB

#

which is exactly 4 binary GB

tardy stirrup
#

ok

limpid vault
#

then leave that box, and go to Option: partition style; GPT

tardy stirrup
#

its already set

limpid vault
#

then show pic before proceeding

#

of the main ventoy window

tardy stirrup
#

Btw do i need a vpn with linux?

limpid vault
tardy stirrup
#

Bro i feel like my pc is gonna break or smth

limpid vault
#

do it.

#

dont waste time

#

then once installed... close ventoy app, and copy/paste the mini-os standard ISO file back to ventoy usb disk in file manager

tardy stirrup
#

done

limpid vault
#

let me know when done copying over.. then open WINDOWS DISK MANAGEMENT

tardy stirrup
#

Its still copying

#

How

limpid vault
#

search disk management

#

or computer management, then in computer mgmt, on the left near bottom is manage disk

#

then show it

#

u should see black 4 gig empty area for the USB stick

tardy stirrup
#

Is it this?

limpid vault
#

idk cant read all that

#

maximize it

#

then look near bottom

#

should have 'disk management' or similar

tardy stirrup
#

this is device manager

limpid vault
#

fk. no

#

close that SHIT

#

i said open computer management. windows 10/11 has easy search box

#

or DISK MANAGEMENT

#

can also right click 'my computer' icon in the file manager, and choose "manage"

tardy stirrup
#

bro wtf

#

were tf is it easy access

tardy stirrup
#

ok

limpid vault
#

my computer = 'this PC'

tardy stirrup
#

omfg

limpid vault
#

old name new name.

#

same shit exactly

tardy stirrup
limpid vault
#

on the left pane, RIGHT CLICK THIS PC

#

and select 'manage'

night briar
#

OBSOLETE: start menu, right click, disk management?

limpid vault
#

leave it dezi, dont confuse

tardy stirrup
#

yh nothing translates to manage

#

probably the lowest option

limpid vault
#

come on....

tardy stirrup
#

whats the icon like

limpid vault
#

idk

#

#

Nah im joking

#

So should i just leave ir as F?

limpid vault
#

it will format that dead space as Fat32. the label will show as "SPARE"

#

make SURE you chose fat32 man

tardy stirrup
limpid vault
#

not NTFS

tardy stirrup
#

Ok

limpid vault
#

I cant read all that.. just make sure it does quick format

tardy stirrup
#

What about the other 2 options

#

Ok im done

limpid vault
#

good.

tardy stirrup
#

Imagine ts doensnt work

limpid vault
#

tardy stirrup
#

Yes

#

limpid vault
#

tardy stirrup
#

tardy stirrup
#

#

Okay got it

limpid vault
#

#

#

#

if so, reboot pc, to the ventoy usb and start mini OS

#

#

#

#

just right click the win11 start menu, should give that option

#

tardy stirrup
tardy stirrup
#

idk how

limpid vault
#

i just said how

#

u dont read what i write.

tardy stirrup
#

so i restart the computer?

limpid vault
#

NO

tardy stirrup
#

tf is that

limpid vault
#

u know what the start menu is or are u that dumb?

tardy stirrup
#

the second option

limpid vault
#

the Windows logo on the taskbar

tardy stirrup
#

makes sense

#

limpid vault
#

tardy stirrup
#

#

ez bro

limpid vault
#

powercfg /h off

#

that's it.

#

then reboot.

tardy stirrup
#

shouldnt there be more text like before?

limpid vault
#

sorry i just never met anyone who doesnt know simple ass things in windows

#

no it's fine.

tardy stirrup
#

nah youre good

#

apreciate the patience

#

i would know this stuff if it was in spanish

limpid vault
#

test if Min OS boots now

tardy stirrup
#

theres 2 udisk

#

partition 2 and 3

limpid vault
#

try 2

#

yes 2.. since 3 is the SPARE

tardy stirrup
#

normal mode

limpid vault
#

then show pic of the next screen

#

press down arrow once in case it wants to time out

tardy stirrup
limpid vault
#

nevermind.

#

let it boot

#

in mini OS - live environment, the normal user ID is called live and their password is live backwards - evil

#

the admin user (aka 'root) is called root and its password is toor

#

remember both of those

#

generally i think just the live user is the only one u need - i think.

#

did it reach desktop, @tardy stirrup ?

tardy stirrup
#

im back

#

had to do smth

#

i think so

limpid vault
#

hm

#

oh well, i guess u can try it on your other PC.

tardy stirrup
#

omg

limpid vault
#

it wont hurt anything

tardy stirrup
#

bro i cant with ts

limpid vault
#

just pop the ventoy into ur other one, and boot the same way u just did

#

if not, try another distro another day. do NOT delete the spare partition, nor remove ventoy.

tardy stirrup
#

i dont wanna use my pc for it

limpid vault
#

true, but this is plainly as a test. it's portable

tardy stirrup
#

how can this even happen

#

should i try partition 3?

limpid vault
#

eh. i cant answer that

#

NO NO NO. think about it

#

p3 is empty. it's there for space, for mini OS to save any files/changes

#

anyway i would recommend u test it on other pc, just to see if it boots

#

it wont affect the other pc, but will prove if the flash drive is maybe writing the ISO badly or something.

#

sometimes the flash memory cells go corrupt. this is a real possibility sometimes

#

not saying that's for sure the case here, but might be

tardy stirrup
#

i still cant fucking reboot

#

normally

#

im going to try it

#

which key could it be tho

limpid vault
#

on what?

#

for ur other PC?

#

just google the brand + 'boot menu key'

tardy stirrup
#

tbh

#

i think its many brands

limpid vault
#

lol oh?

#

no name or label right on the case?

#

like ... HP, Lenovo,

#

if not, u boot Windows, and then get the program CPU-Z

tardy stirrup
#

Omfg i turned off my oc

limpid vault
#

that app will tell u the motherboard brand

tardy stirrup
#

Itd forgeon i think

#

Can u look it up

limpid vault
#

u have to boot Windows up to get CPU-Z program

#

i cant guess for u.

tardy stirrup
#

What are the keys thst could be

#

Ill just spam all

limpid vault
#

no

#

that's pretty irresponsible.

tardy stirrup
#

ok what do i have to search

limpid vault
#

u should look at the SCREEN, as soon as u power on the computer

#

and it will (or should) say

tardy stirrup
#

its forgeon

limpid vault
#

press Fx for setup
press __ for boot options
press __ for recovery

tardy stirrup
#

wait no its icue

#

if that exists

limpid vault
#

please boot windows up, that's not a motherboard brand

#

if it is, i sure as heck have never heard of it

night briar
tardy stirrup
#

tardy stirrup
limpid vault

tardy stirrup
#

limpid vault
tardy stirrup

limpid vault

limpid vault
#

u may need to turn off Secure Boot like last time

tardy stirrup
#

Yeah im done

#

Ill do that tmr

limpid vault
#

aight

#
