You sure the monitor itself doesn't have any weird settings? Are both connected through DP/HDMI?

A different way of displaying stuff on your screen
Default is X11. Old as fuck but reliable
Still, the 'oldness' comes biting back with weird multi monitor setups
Anyways, to enter the wayland session, click on the mountain icon next to the password prompt on the login screen, select Cinnamon on wayland and log in
When I first switched to Linux a few years back I went out and bought an identical monitor to the best one I had at the time and that fixed all my issues. I had screen tearing and weird artifacting crossing over from my 1080p monitor to my 1440p monitor, it was as if the the 1440p monitor had a 1080p ghost boundary overlapping on it.
you got the same problem black screen but detected?
I didn't @potent dragon . I had screen tearing issues where my smaller monitor's display border would appear as an artifacted ghost on the larger monitor's display. Back then I was so new to Linux Mint that I didn't even know how to open the terminal so I put nearly 0 effort into trying to fix the problem through a software solution. Nowadays I would probably spend at least a few hours trying to resolve an issue like that before turning to $ or hardware solutions.
bruh
@dense wasp
Show the screenshot of display settings
display software?
Settings - display
Layout tab
Click monitor 2 and screenshot again
Set both to the same refresh rate

These are 2 screenshots for the same monitor
Ok, which one works right now?
green
And the red one is black?

If you set red one as primary, do they switch? Red one wrks, green one's black.
The panel with the clock and stuff?

Can you get the monitor menu to display on both? Brightness, contrast, other settings
