#kernal panic

i can open linux if i do some weird stuff but it goes like this
i have to go to an older version to ooen mint
idk what's happening
use the older kernel that worked before (like a week ago or whatever) then hit F10 to boot.
from that screen u get to via Grub > Mint Advanced
did that but what i'm concerned about is that i was using the 6.14 and it didn't do that before
i am on 6.11 now but is this optimal?
why wouldn't it be?
i didn't use it before so i'd assume it wouldn't be?
just because a new kernel exists by NO MEANS does that mean u should put it.. unless some desperate reason to
but that new one was the default
no.
6.14 is not the default
6.08.0-51 is the one mint ships with
anyway, go to update manager's view menu
confirm the one that says "Active"
delete anything numerically newer than that which says 'installed'
did that
so i should be fine?
yep. confirm with uname -r what is running
