#Display is blank when monitor is turned on after computer is turned on.

Steps to reproduce:
• Turn on computer
• Turn on monitor

expected behavior:
• display shows the login screen when I turn on the pc

Actual behavior:
• flicks between the monitor just being pure black (off), and being sudo black (black pixels that are on not on an oled) with "display 1" showing in top left a lot of the time.

Additional information:
• Used to have a bug where green pixels bugged out would show up in bios and on startup, sometime flashing white, while messing with audio (have since switched to pipewire over pulseaudio). Solved itself somehow. wonder if related.
• both igpu and dgpu have this issue.
• System info: https://termbin.com/zye3 , basic overview is 6900xt gpu, 5700g cpu, samsung odysee g7 monitor, b550 tomahawk motherboard. any other info id be happy to provide.

overall it isnt a big issue, just something thats been bugging me for a while and the last real bug I cant figure out how to fix that i have left in mint rn.

Was it working before and youre just having this prob suddenly? or is this a new monitor or new mint install or anything?

Ngl I forgot when this issue started occuring or anything specific that could be linked to it, ive had it for atleast 2, maybe 3 years

Maybe when I installed my graphics card? but I think it was a bit after

ok so have you plugged in another video source? just to see if it works from that? like a dvd player or an xbox or anything?
It could be a krusty cable or port.

xbox with hdmi cable works fine on same monitor

Ig ill try ordering a new display port cable to see if it fixes it unless you have any other ideas in mind

i dont want to steer you towards needlessly spending $15 on a new cable if thats not it. 🙂

have you had the card out since the first install? only other thing I can think of is if the card isnt seated in the PCI slot tight... or switching the drivers to one version back. I dunno anyhting about x11 or wayland troubleshooting

Purely off memory i think card happened first and few months later bug happened
