Seems I'm stuck on Linux Kernel 6.5.X and can't go up to the latest 6.11.X. Tried 6.8 and all I get is a black screen. have to hold escape upon POST to get Grub to pull up and I have to select 6.5 Kernel to load Linux Mint Cinnamon. Any suggestions?

For anyone else who runs into this problem, the workaround I did was using Grub Customizer, finding the default Grub List Kernel it loads, and editing the config file to use 6.5.0-41-generic kernel by default instead of 6.11.0-29-generic kernel

@modern field What about installing a kernel? There are optimized kernels like liquorix or xanamod?

Maybe by installing an LTS kernel or the latest one just released you can solve the problem, but then you have to see if everything works with the new kernel (wifi, bluetooth, USB ports, mouse and GPU)
