i'm currently trying to get windows 11 and endeavouros dual-booted (on separate drives), and i got the dual boot set up but now i need to set up secure boot in preparation for that fighting game riot is making, 2XKO, which uses vanguard
i tried just about everything listed here https://wiki.archlinux.org/title/Unified_Extensible_Firmware_Interface/Secure_Boot#Implementing_Secure_Boot
but none of it works
the last thing i tried was preloader, but no matter which file i copied over to loader.efi, it would refuse to add the hash with the message "invalid parameter" and an error code of 2
#Cannot get secure boot to work with EndeavourOS GRUB (PreLoader HashTool won't recognize loader.efi)

not sure if Endeavour OS supports Secure Boot
You shouldn't need it on for Linux
You can try to turn on Secure Boot and leave it on for Windows' sake.
You'll have to find out for absolute sure if Endeavour can be
a) installed with secure boot on (use ventoy flasher for good support for the usb installer)
b) it must be enrolled at the end of the Endeavour install into a blue MOK screen of the UEFI using some passphrase u had set in the install process.
This may offer some insight, at least as far as booting a "secure" ISO via ventoy, in order to install it with SB on.

that vid is gonna be a huge help, but do i need to reinstall endeavouros entirely? i do have a spare usb hard drive for timeshift snapshots, so that shouldn’t be too hard but i’m wondering if there’s a way to make my existing install secure boot compatible
I'm really not sure
just turn SB on, and see if endeavour boots to desktop
if you use proprietary drivers, u must do some commands to sign them in order for them to take effect
tried that, i can get to the grub menu but then when i try booting into endeavour, it says there’s a secure boot violation
i’ve got an amd gpu so i doubt i have any proprietary stuff
then research if endeavour os supports secure boot, and how
U may need to reinstall as discussed
all i know is Ubuntu and Mint 22 support SB at setup
what about nixos? i’ve been thinking about giving that a shot
i’ve heard i can do it with systemd-boot
do your own research
