How to Create Hotspot(XFCE)

Heyo need to Create Hotspot

Tried doing it the traditional way

Create network as hotspot
But my mobile cannot detect it

I tried installing this

This one still WIP

So while im waiting just wanna make sure If i have anything wrong or missed a step

And this is my 4 days on Linux sooooo RIP hahaha

is the computer fed by Ethernet?

I think it would have to be, in order to connection-share wirelessly

Hello i tried connecting with Ethernet but still can't activate hotspot

idk if that other program messed things up

network settings in Mint cinnamon, possibly xfce too should give u a simple tickbox to share wifi on the wifi hardware properties tabs, one of them

or rather, share on the ethernet properties

n put wifi to bridged

unless that's kde plasma im thinking of

show the nerwork settings GUI

Oh got it dont how but i got

I installed dnsmasq

Then created a new hotspot

mkay

see if it's in your system tray (wifi icon) or somehow so u can turn it off when needed
