if u need to shut the dock thing off if u can't get it to work, then open "system monitor" from start menu. click it's "Processes" tab.. sort by name by clicking the name header. find the dockx thing. right click it and choose either "terminate" or if that doesnt work, choose "kill"

if that doesnt work, open terminal, type xkill and then click the death-cursor on the dockbar thing
