Help with installing a library

So, Im a sweet summer child who switched to linux a couple of months ago. An app requires me to install a libayatana-appindicator-glib and has that install md. So, what exactly am I suppsed to do? Copy and paste the lines into terminal one by one?

Those dependencies are packages that need to be installed for a software to run properly.

You may search them with apt search <packagename>.

apt will show on the left hand right side whether the package is installed, or not.

If not, install it.

sudo apt install libayatana-appindicator3-1

For my future use, where did you take those 3-1 numbers from
