Click download, choose the .deb file.
After that, go to Downloads folder, double click on that, an installation prompt will show up.

Likely unverified Flatpak. Not suggested. I don't recall Chrome being on the Mint repositories either.
Unverified Flatpak has since been made to not show up in the Software Manager for about a year now.

Ubuntu MATE doesn't have one anymore. They have deprecated Software Boutique on 24.04. They use the upstream App Center now.
Sparky Linux and Linux Lite also have a mini curated "shop" with some popular selections
but my plaque of getting software is way to go for any newb
