No storage drive detected while installing windows, won't let me install intel rapid storage drivers

When I Get up to the partition part of windows installation, it tells me no storage drive was found.
| Normally installing the drivers would fix, but the drivers aren't being able to be installed (it tells me no signed drivers found).

yo, i actually JUST fixed this issue few days ago.

you need to disable VMD

in bios settings

after that diskpart will be able to recognize it (even if you install driver media its not seen by diskpart)

then youll have to run the clean command (i recommend installing windows with ventoy)

cause with ventoy you can have multiple installation iso's if something goes wrong

and boot back into your distro of choice

also its just faster

put it on a different drive

or maybe even ventoy if itll work

the drivers will make the drive be recognized by settup

but it wont show up in diskpart

if the drive doesnt need to be cleaned then it should be fine

First, turn off secure boot in BIOS. Second, download the intel RST driver from intel's website and put it on a second USB stick. Insert both USB sticks (the one with windows and the one with the intel drivers), select load drivers from windows install and try to search which of them work. I know that some of them do not work.
